JSX lanza servicios Austin-Dallas

AW | 2021 09 27 22:28 | AIRLINES

JSX Airlines lanza servicios en ruta Austin-Dallas

JSX_Isotype

JetSuiteX Airlines (JSX) launches flights from Austin to Dallas, State of Texas (TX). The first flight on JSX Airlines landed at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) this Monday 09/27. The new hop-on hop-off service offers flights from Austin to Dallas Love Field Airport twice a day. The regional airline’s new flights are more affordable than you might think, with fares starting at US$ 129 one way.

JSX Airlines owns a fleet of Embraer E135 (15) E145 (7) Jet with a 30-50 seat configuration and no overhead luggage compartments (bin), speeding up the boarding process. The company also promises quick and easy check-in and security. «The whole point of flying is to get somewhere faster, right? And so our whole offering is that you can show up twenty minutes before the flight, get on and take off. There is no big terminal to walk through. There is no garage. parking lot. There are no lines to fight for. We have security, but we do it ourselves. Everything is TSA approved, but we do it very, very quickly», said JSX CEO Alex Wilcox.

JSX’s choice to expand in Austin is just another example of booming growth in Central Texas. «Austin is obviously [a] booming city right now. Tons of people who used to live in California, like me, are moving here to Texas and Austin in particular. And we wanted to provide a new service to a place that in It has actually been very well served by air, but not as convenient as we could make it now. There has been so much growth in the passenger terminal here with all the major airlines dumping so much capacity, that it has actually become less convenient to fly in and out of Austin Bergstrom, the main terminal. And so we want to provide a little relief for people who value their time», said Alex Wilcox.

JSX Airlines was first launched in 2016 and is based in Dallas (TX). Although this new service is the company’s first flight from Austin, more flights could be added to Dallas or other destinations in the coming months.

S7 startup Citrus low cost

AW | 2021 09 27 22:05 | AIRLINES

S7 Airlines presenta nueva marca bajo coste para 2022

S7 Airlines_new_Isologotype.svg

Mercado low cost ruso

S7 startup Citrus low cost

S7 Airlines presents new low-cost brand for 2022

The Russian airline S7 Airlines, one of the largest private airlines in the Russian Federation, has revealed the name of its new low-cost airline called Citrus Airlines. The wholly owned but separate entity will begin its flight operation bypassing Moscow and St. Petersburg, linking destinations from within the Federation. The startup will begin operations by July 2022. The growing interest in the regional air travel market has stimulated the airline to take advantage of the upturn in domestic tourism, from top to bottom by the Government of the Federation.

S7 Airlines created the new low-cost airline in order to connect cities in Russia and offer a vibrant and positive travel experience for passengers. Citrus Airlines will offer point-to-point interregional service connections between second- and third-tier cities, primarily in central Russia. Citrus intends to carry around one million passengers during its first year of air service, increasing passenger traffic to between six and seven million starting in 2024. To handle this number of passengers, the low-cost carrier will deploy the initial fleet of four Airbus A320NEOs and will expand the fleet with the addition of six to eight aircraft annually. The startup has hoped to expand its fleet size to twenty-four (24) aircraft by 2024. The airline has signed a preliminary agreement for its first four A320NEO aircraft. Citrus will open booking and ticketing for upcoming flights next spring.

Citrus airlines

Citrus Airlines will operate the Airbus A320NEO fleet (24) despite the Russian government’s push for airlines to use Russian-built aircraft. As S7 Airlines is currently a large A320 operator, the A320NEO deployment will be accessible to the newly created airline.

The livery details of the new startup will have pink as the main color for this newly created airline. Oleg Beriev, Managing Partner of Mildberry brand agency, said the airline name and the color pink is the bold move to attract attention and be friendly. S7 Airlines once raised the public’s eyebrows with light green planes. Still, the appearance of the startup is more necessary than the brand name. S7 will invest up to ₽ 3 billion Rubles in the project to launch the new low-cost airline Citrus with the assumption of the payback period of this LLC project at four years. With twenty-four aircraft and 7.8 million passengers projected by the end of 2024, the startup is expected to demonstrate its first profit by the end of 2024.

S7 Airlines showed enthusiasm to launch a new budget carrier bearing in mind that Russian aviation is the largest European market led by budget carrier Pobeda Airlines. Citrus Airlines will serve regional traffic with its launch towards July 2022.

Russian low cost market

S7 Airlines President Tatyana Fileva explained plans for Citrus Airlines to meet the tremendous potential of the interregional transportation segment, which is not possible due to the current business model of S7 Airlines. Against the background of the Russian aviation market, the low-cost air transport service is mainly distributed in Central Russia-Moscow and St. Petersburg. Therefore, it is necessary to launch another budget operator to improve the connection of the regions, as highlighted by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Russia’s gradual recovery in the domestic air market sector will allow the Russian Federation to strengthen its internal connection by rapidly recovering above the 2019 capacity and demand level to be Europe’s largest market for weekly seats. Russia’s domestic aviation market was severely affected by the onset of the pandemic as it quickly recovered. In fact, domestic Russia is the world’s strong growing domestic market that drives the performance of passenger traffic from other countries. Aeroflot transported more than half a million travelers in April 2021, with its Pobeda subsidiary being the main growth engine for the Aeroflot Russian Airlines group. Now, the Citrus operation will provoke competition from low-cost carriers in Russia’s more price-sensitive and strengthened domestic market.

Citrus Airlines

Australia reduce frecuencias aéreas

AW | 2021 09 27 13:55 | AIR TRAFFIC / AIRLINES / GOVERNMENT

Australia reduces air frequencies

Airlines cut flights due to health prevention

Australian air transport users wishing to return home by the end of the year will continue to be difficult as airlines are cutting and canceling flights. Airlines are not scheduling operations according to demand, while the Australian Government has instructed airlines not to fly by the end of the year 2021. As a result, the vast majority of international carriers have momentarily left the country or they have reduced their frequencies to a minimum expression.

Australian travel agents have a puzzle not only because they cannot work but because they see how thousands of Australian citizens are being sentenced to not being able to return to their countries. Australia is relatively free of infections by the virus but is well above its past situation, so the Government is proceeding to vaccinate the country as quickly as possible. At the moment it has practically reached 50 percent of the population, but there is a great fear that the infections will get out of control before the vaccination has been sufficient.

United fined for delays

DOT fines United Airlines for lengthy ground delays

United Airlines has been fined for delays in frequency departures on twenty-five scheduled flights, assigning it a fine for breaches of public transport duties. The airline received a sentence to pay of US$ 950,000 Dollars. The airline received a credit of US$ 750,000 for compensating passengers on delayed flights and US$ 200,000 for the cost of developing a tool to improve the management of diverted flights. The flights were delayed for different reasons on the ground for several hours, applying the largest fine imposed by the United States Government for such long delays. The Department of Transportation (DOT) said on Friday 09/24 that the incidents occurred between December 2015 and February 2021. More than 3,200 passengers were trapped on planes without being given a chance to disembark, the DOT said. In a consent order, United said most of the delays involved diversions caused by severe weather, as the airline focuses on making sure planes land safely. The airline said it was a small number of the nearly 8 million operated by United Airlines and its United Express affiliates during the five-year span of the violations.

Federal rules require airlines to give passengers the opportunity to return to the terminal if a plane on a domestic flight sits on the ground for at least three hours, four hours in the case of international flights. Exceptions are allowed for safety, security or air traffic control problems. The longest delay, more than five hours, occurred in April 2016 after an international flight bound for Houston was diverted to New Orleans. Passengers were only given the opportunity to disembark after the pilots exceeded their legal working hours and had to be replaced by another crew, according to a consent order. Five delays occurred on the same day in April 2019, when a winter storm grunted Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, causing flights to be diverted to Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin (WI).

Delta perpectivas Boeing 737 MAX

AW | 2021 09 24 17:20 | AIRLINES / INDUSTRY

Delta observa perspectiva flota Boeing 737 MAX

AW-Boeing_737_MAX_2

Delta_Isoglotype_Intersected

Delta outlook Boeing 737 MAX

Delta sees Boeing 737 MAX fleet outlook

Delta_Isotype_TMk

Delta Air Lines has announced the prospect of adding the Boeing 737 MAX to its fleet, as it looks to upgrade its fleet over the next decade. On Thursday 09/23 the airline’s CEO said: «There is no news to report but we are constantly talking to Boeing. There is certainly a place for the MAX if we can figure out how to bring it in», said CEO Ed Bastian.

The 737 MAX line was grounded in March 2019 after two accidents involving industrial design problems, after twenty months of scrutiny analysis involving the Flight Control called MCAS. After several adjustments and corrections, the aircraft was recertified in November 2020 by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Delta customer

Delta Air Lines airline has been a huge customer for the aviation industry. It currently has a shared fleet with Airbus and Boeing aircraft; but that historically it had been a traditional client company of McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. Therefore, any future fleet order would represent a very favorable point for commercial aircraft builders. As Delta evaluates the position of accessing the natural fleet upgrade for its Boeing 737 Next Geneation line, the Boeing 737 MAX would represent a new boost to the economy of The Boeing Company. A formal order from Delta Air Lines would be Boeing’s first major order for the Atlanta (GA) -based airline in a decade.

Delta’s history with a shared fleet of B737/A320 jets would not foreshadow if any purchase orders were on the horizon. A Delta spokesperson declined to confirm Ed Bastian’s comments, saying the airline has no fleet announcements to make. The Delta CEO stated that he is in conversation with Boeing, but is not yet committed to an order from MAX. Boeing did not respond to a request for comment.

Delta CEO Revives Boeing 737 MAX Ordering Potential. Delta is the largest operator of the Boeing 757-200 in the world. In fact, Delta has previously been one of the strongest advocates for Boeing to build a new mid-size aircraft. This includes comments suggesting that up to 200 aircraft could be on the table for an order. Also, when it comes to what’s best for the business, if Boeing offers the right product at the right cost, Delta would certainly be in the first line to place orders. In October 2021 Boeing had talks with Delta to take 40 of the 737 MAX planes. At the webinar, Bastian said that Delta was also looking to acquire more Airbus A220 and A350 aircraft.

Delta fleet

Delta Air Lines owns a fleet of Boeing 737-900ER (29), A320CEO (50), A321CEO (122), while it has requested Airbus A321NEO (155) to upgrade the Airbus fleet. For now, Delta seems happy with its order book. As part of the company’s strategies, if it wanted to take on Boeing 737 MAX jets in the near future, the airline may have lobbied for a deal when Boeing still had a backlog of aircraft and when the airline would have had a little more. of power to get good prices due to a slowdown in orders.

Perspectives Delta 737 MAX

For now, Boeing is getting back in business. It has almost eliminated its portfolio of whitetail aircraft. It has increased its forecast for aircraft demand over the next 20 years. Recently, Boeing and Ryanair also ended negotiations on a 737 MAX order for a difference in prices, indicating that Boeing perhaps feels it has a little more power in the negotiations. Currently, it does not appear that Delta is seriously looking forward to an upcoming 737 MAX order. But over time, Delta Air Lines is more likely to acquire the 737 MAX line sometime in the next decade, but exactly when and how many airplanes it will acquire remains speculation.
