Los fondos Indigo Partners y HRS tomarían proceso de cambio accionarial en Volotea

Los fondos de capital de riesgo Indigo Capital Partners y HRS Management han llegado a la fase final del proceso de cambio accionarial de Volotea, la aerolínea low cost de vuelos regionales fundada hace casi seis años por Carlos Muñoz y Lázaro Ros.

Indigo Capital Partners cuenta con participaciones en aerolíneas similares como Spirit Airlines y Frontier, Wizz Airlines y JetSmart. HRS, representada por Apollo Global Management, es un fondo que invierte en empresas de todo el mundo y que actualmente posee el 1,65% de American Airlines y un 1% de AerCap Holdings, la mayor empresa de leasing para el sector aéreo en el mundo.

Indigo y HRS trabajan ya en la preparación de las ofertas vinculantes, que deberán presentar en algunas semanas. La operación, coordinada por el banco de inversión Morgan Stanley, culminará previsiblemente dentro de los próximos dos o tres meses.

La aerolínea Volotea ha informado que “el proceso iniciado hace unos meses está avanzado, ha habido muchos fondos interesados en entrar en el capital y esto marcha muy bien, aunque aún falta un poco para cerrar la operación. Existe algún fondo más con opciones de entrar”. Otras fuentes del sector citaron a Cerberus, un fondo que a finales del año pasado pujó por Alitalia.

Los dos finalistas confirmados Indigo y HRS cuentan con el visto bueno de la aerolínea para sustituir a CCMP, el fondo que controla el 49% de Volotea. “Su salida es obligada porque ha cumplido el plazo máximo de permanencia y tiene la obligación de vender”, explican en la empresa.

Volotea inició sus operaciones en Abril del 2012 y facturó unos € 300 millones de euros el año pasado. La aerolínea fracasó en su salida a bolsa en el 2016 a causa de la situación del mercado bursátil y a finales del año pasado encargó a Morgan que le buscará nuevos socios.

KLM está eliminando progresivamente el último Boeing 747 al final de la temporada de verano de 2021

La aerolínea holandesa KLM estaría desprogramando la flota de los aviones Boeing 747-400, conocidos mundialmente como «Jumbo». El último Boeing 747-400 afectado a la flota será probablemente el PH-BFY para efectuar su último vuelo comercial en el 2021.

KLM es la compañía más antigua del mundo. En Enero 1971 había incorporado su primer Boeing 747-200 a su flota aerocomercial. Según el portavoz de la aerolínea, las fechas exactas aún no se conocen.

Algunos Boeing 747 están almacenados en el cementerio de aviones El Teruel, en España. Los dos últimos Jumbo que KLM ya no necesita, fueron a Twente, Enschede, Países Bajos, donde fueron demolidos. En Diciembre 2017 y Enero 2018, los aviones volaron por última vez. Las aeronaves son desmanteladas por Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions, que luego vende los componentes de las aeronaves.

Despidiendo a los «Jumbos»

Los legisladores del Estado de Georgia sancionan a Delta Air Lines por la disputa de la NRA

Los legisladores republicanos en Georgia cumplieron con la amenaza de eliminar una propuesta de desgravación fiscal para Delta Air Lines, con sede en Atlanta, después de que la aerolínea se negó a revertir la decisión de cortar las relaciones con la National Rifle Association (NRA).

La desgravación fiscal habría ahorrado a Delta millones de dólares en impuestos sobre las ventas de combustible para aviones.

Tanto Delta Air Lines como United Airlines eliminaron los descuentos de tarifas aéreas de hasta 10% para los cinco millones de miembros de la Asociación Nacional del Rifle (NRA) después de la masacre escolar de la Florida del mes pasado. El ataque se cobró la vida de 17 estudiantes y profesores y ha renovado un debate nacional sobre el control de armas.

Boeing e Icelandair celebraron hoy la entrega del primer avión Boeing 737-8 MAX, mientras la aerolínea islandesa busca crecer y renovar su flota y mejorar sus operaciones transatlánticas .

El MAX, una versión nueva y mejorada del avión 737 de Boeing, se unirá a la flota de aviones Boeing 757 y 767 de Icelandair en destinos de servicio de América del Norte y Europa.

Icelandair realizó un pedido de 16 737 MAX en 2013, incluidos los modelos MAX 8 y MAX 9 más grandes. Boeing y Aeroméxico celebraron hoy la entrega del primer Boeing 737-8 MAX, con registro XA-MAG. La aerolínea global de México planea utilizar los aviones MAX de mayor consumo y mayor duración para expandir su red a través de las Américas.

En 2012, Aeroméxico realizó un pedido de hasta 90 aviones MAX, incluido el MAX 8 y la variante MAX 9 más grande. Los dos modelos ofrecen a la aerolínea la flexibilidad de volar entre aproximadamente 160 y 190 pasajeros en vuelos de aproximadamente 3,550 millas náuticas (6,570 kilómetros), ambos con mejores costos operativos y experiencia de los pasajeros. Travel Service Airlines supera la participación de CSA en 97.7%

Travel Service Airlines ha confirmado que ha aumentado formalmente su participación accionaria en CSA Czech Airlines a 97.7% luego de adquirir una participación de 44% en Korean Air así como también 19.74% de participación en manos de la empresa estatal de gestión de activos, Prisko.

La adquisición de los activos de la aerolínea CSA Czech Airlines se efectuó el Martes, 27 Marzo 2018. El valor total de la transacción no fue revelado por el grupo inversor. La empresa Travel Service ya disponía del 34% de la cuota accionaria de CSA, con lo que ahora posee el 97,7% de las acciones.

Travel Service Airlines deberá exponer el plan a futuro para CSA con el Presidente de la Junta, Jiří Šimáně, indicando solo que su intención es consolidar la aerolínea de la República Checa.

Travel Service Airlines es la mayor empresa aérea checa y administra entre otros los vuelos bajo la marca registrada de Smart Wings. Opera en más de 400 aeropuertos en cuatro continentes bajo la modalidad low-cost.

Travel Service Airlines exceeds the participation of CSA by 97.7%

Travel Service Airlines has confirmed that it has formally increased its shareholding in CSA Czech Airlines to 97.7% after acquiring a 44% stake in Korean Air as well as a 19.74% stake in the hands of the state asset management company, Prisko.

The acquisition of the assets of the airline CSA Czech Airlines took place on Tuesday, 27 March 2018. The total value of the transaction was not disclosed by the investor group. The Travel Service company already had 34% of the shareholding of CSA, which now owns 97.7% of the shares.

Travel Service Airlines will have to present the future plan for CSA with the Chairman of the Board, Jiří Šimáně, indicating only that his intention is to consolidate the airline of the Czech Republic.

Pasajeros de aerolínea LAW enfrentan largas esperas en un nuevo retraso de u n vuelo de retorno desde República Dominicana hacia Chile

Nuevamente la aerolínea Latin American Wings (LAW) enfrenta problemas con su programación de vuelos a República Dominicana. Otro incidente se ha registrado en un vuelo de retorno de la aerolínea LAW dejando a 38 pasajeros varados en el Aeropuerto La Romana, en República Dominicana.

Los problemas en la salida de los viajes se presentan a solo semanas de un incidente similar por el que el SERNAC presentó una demanda colectiva. El grupo debía regresar a Chile entre el viernes y el sábado de la semana pasada, pero luego de frustradas reprogramaciones permanecen en República Dominicana sin poder retornar.

En el mes de Febrero 2018 cerca de 400 personas tuvieron que esperar hasta dos días para poder embarcarse desde Santiago a Lima (Perú) y otro grupo quedó varado en Punta Cana por varios días. Desde la empresa han argumentado problemas puntuales y el Servicio Nacional del Consumidor presentó una demanda colectiva para compensar a los usuarios afectados.

Denuncia por exempleado de LAW

Un extrabajador de LAW denunció irregularidades en uno de los moteros del Boeing 737-300. El empleado despedido se desempeñaba como operativo de la aerolínea, denunció series de irregularidades en la forma de operar de la compañía. Estuvo seis meses en la compañía de capitales chilenos. Avianca despide a 44 pilotos por participación en el paro nacional

Avianca ha iniciado procesos disciplinarios contra pilotos por paro nacional en el 2017. Pilotos buscan salvavidas de la Defensoría en audiencias disciplinarias de Avianca. La aerolínea colombiana ha informado que unos 49 pilotos fueron despedidos y 20 suspendidos

La aerolínea Avianca informó que este miércoles se realizaron 28 audiencias de descargos por la huelga ilegal del año pasado, las cuales dejaron 14 terminaciones de contratos de trabajo con justa causa y 14 suspensiones. Esta cifra se suma a los 20 pilotos despedidos el pasado lunes, cuando iniciaron los procesos disciplinarios, y a los 15 de la jornada del martes, sumando un total de 49 aviadores donde la compañía finalizó su contrato laboral con justa causa en los primeros tres días de audiencias. El total de pilotos suspendidos por su participación en la huelga llevada a cabo entre Septiembre y Noviembre 2017, con una duración de 51 días, ascendió a 20, luego de los 3 aviadores del lunes y los 3 del martes, que se suman a los 14 sancionados este miércoles por la compañía.

La compañía informó que la Defensoría del Pueblo ha estado presente como veedor en diez procesos disciplinarios entre martes y miércoles, participando en todas las diligencias en las que la entidad solicitó ingresar, con el fin de garantizar el debido proceso. Entre los despedidos está el capitán Jaime Hernández, Presidente de la Asociación Colombiana de Aviadores Civiles (ACDAC), que agrupa a 700 de los 1.388 pilotos de la aerolínea.

Los 44 despedidos hacen parte de un grupo de 240 pilotos a los que la compañía les abrió proceso disciplinario por su participación en la huelga, dijo la ACDAC, que lideró el cese de actividades.

Postura del Sindicato y pilotos

Según el Sindicato, que convocó el paro en reclamo de mejoras económicas y de seguridad aérea, la compañía inició los 240 procesos disciplinarios el lunes y finalizará el próximo 6 de marzo. Como resultado de estos procedimientos, además de los despidos, hasta el momento la aerolínea ha suspendido a siete aviadores, tres más están a la espera de una decisión, dos renunciaron, uno no se presentó y otro quedó aplazado, agregó.

«Los cargos formulados a los pilotos corresponden a su participación activa en el cese de actividades y a la no presentación a las programaciones asignadas durante el cese», indicó ACDAC en comunicado.

Los empleados alegan falta de garantías para su defensa, violaciones a la normativa laboral por parte de Avianca y a convenios laborales previos entre las partes.

La Asociación Colombiana de Aviadores Civiles hizo un llamado a la Defensoría del Pueblo para que refuerce los acompañamientos de la entidad en los procesos disciplinarios que se llevan en su contra, tras advertir que son múltiples las irregularidades que se están cometiendo por parte de Avianca.

Los pilotos de ACDAC aseguran que la dinámica por parte del equipo jurídico de Avianca es la misma, ya que no les permite defenderse como se debiera, al tiempo que reiteraron que estos procesos se convertirán en una “masacre laboral“.

Postura de Avianca

Avianca tomó la determinación de romper el vínculo laboral con estos aviadores luego de que un alto tribunal le diera la razón en una demanda. La aerolínea interpuso el recurso al considerar que el paro era ilegal porque paralizó un servicio público esencial, como el transporte aéreo, protegido por la normativa colombiana. El presidente de la compañía aérea, Germán Efromovich, había advertido en septiembre que de ser declarada ilegal la huelga, despediría a todos los trabajadores que no se presentaran a trabajar.

El paro de pilotos, iniciado el 20 de Septiembre y finalizado el 9 de Noviembre 2017, afectó a 420.000 usuarios de la aerolínea. Las audiencias se realizarán hasta el próximo 6 de Marzo. Se espera que citen a cerca de 240 aviadores que estuvieron en paro el año pasado, de los cuales, según ACDAC, Avianca espera despedir a más de 140. Los pilotos despedidos tendrán ocho días para presentar su apelación cntra los procesos de la aerolínea Avianca.

The pilots of ACDAC assure that the dynamics on the part of the legal team of Avianca is the same, since it does not allow them to defend themselves as it should, while reiterating that these processes will become a «labor massacre».

Aerolíneas Argentinas invierte U$S 9,8 millones en sistemas

Aerolíneas Argentinas proyecta una inversión de US$9,8 millones en la modernización de sus sistemas informáticos con la incorporación de un nuevo centro de datos y dos computadoras centrales que permitirán ampliar la capacidad de almacenamiento de los sistemas. El objetivo, señaló la empresa, es «optimizar el procesamiento de la información, resguardar mejor los activos tecnológicos, asegurar la disponibilidad y continuidad de las operaciones, optimizar costos de mantenimiento y mitigar puntos de falla».

El centro de datos se trasladó a las instalaciones de Aerolíneas en el Aeropuerto de Ezeiza. Se trata de un espacio aislado, con equipos UPS y generadores que sirven para contener posibles cortes de energía; además, cuenta con sistemas de refrigeración y control de incendios.

Además, la aerolínea estatal compró nuevos equipos centrales para el procesamiento de datos. La inversión «implica un salto de calidad significativo en el estándar informático y en la confiabilidad que le podemos aportar a la operación», expresó Guillermo Desimoni, director de Sistemas de Aerolíneas.
