De Havilland Canada recibe el primer pedido de aeronaves QSeries
La compañía Viking Air licenciataria de Longview Aviation Capital Corp. ha anunciado
el primer pedido formal de De Havilland 8-Q400 el Sábado 19 Octubre 2019 por parte del Gobierno de Tanzania para ser subarrendado a la aerolínea Air Tanzania. El acuerdo fue rubricado entre representantes del fabricante Viking Air y de la Agencia de Vuelo del Gobierno de Tanzania (TGFA) en Dar es Salaam, capital de Tanzania.
El Director Ejecutivo de Air Tanzania, Ladislaud Matindi, expresó: «Nuestra flota actual de Dash 8 Q400 está operando muy bien y ofrece una excelente comodidad para los pasajeros. Estamos muy satisfechos con los bajos costos de operación y la alta confiabilidad y esperamos la capacidad adicional que este nuevo avión y uno más que está pendiente de entrega proporcionará pronto. Air Tanzania continúa creciendo a un ritmo constante y estamos abriendo nuevas rutas y ofreciendo más frecuencias para satisfacer las demandas de nuestro mercado”.
Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) recientemente vio la entrega de dos aviones Q400 del fabricante canadiense Bombardier tras el acuerdo de compra firmado en agosto de 2016. Los aviones se entregan con una configuración de 76 asientos al precio de US$ 62 millones. The Viking Air licensee of Longview Aviation Capital Corp. has announced the first formal De Havilland 8-Q400 request on Saturday, October 19, 2019, by the Government of Tanzania to be sublet to the Air Tanzania airline. The agreement was signed between representatives of the manufacturer Viking Air and the Tanzania Government Flight Agency (TGFA) in Dar es Salaam, capital of Tanzania.

Air Tanzania currently has three De Havilland 8-Q400 in service plus two aircraft pending delivery. The aircraft will be configured for 78 passengers, reviewing the initial fleet configuration with 76 seats in two classes, Business (6) and Economy (70).
