The European manufacturer maintains the objective of 800 deliveries of commercial aircraft

Airbus remains optimistic that it will be able to meet the self-imposed goal of 800 commercial aircraft delivered this year. «Like every year, December is again a month of numerous deliveries», said a spokesman. So far, the group still does not have 127 jets, which must be delivered this month; in November, there were 89.

Airbus Spain

The new President of Airbus Spain, Alberto Gutiérrez, appointed last December 12, 2018, has highlighted that his priorities include digitization and investment in R & D, as well as the recovery of market share. Regarding digitization, the objective is to design aircraft on demand through virtual platforms and in digital format to be transferred to the respective factories. Alberto Gutiérrez is president of this aerospace group in Spain and responsible for the A400M military transport aircraft program, which is assembled in Seville.

As head of Airbus in Spain, he will oversee all the company’s business activities in the country as Alonso did so far, which has been in Airbus for 37 years and will continue until the end of March of next year to guarantee a process of fluid transition with its successor.

The aeronautical industry of the Bay of Cádiz is with favorable winds. The Airbus factories of the Province of Cádiz, Spain, especially that of Puerto Real, have become the global supplier of the rudders and stabilizers of the A350 and A320 programs, which implies an added value for the sector in Cádiz. This step in the production and assembly chain has led both the PuertoReal and El Puerto industries to introduce improvements in the industrial space they occupy in order to take on the orders. In the case of the portuense factory, its main work is the manufacture of the 737 MAX ‘fan cowl’ covers. This workload panorama has brought improvements in the performance of Airbus Spain that will guarantee satisfactory work for both Airbus Group and Boeing Commercial Airplane. A \ W

Justicia Brasil desbloquea acuerdo Joint Venture Boeing-Embraer

Judge of Brazil revokes court order blocking agreement with Embraer-Boeing

A Brazilian judge annulled this Friday, December 22, 2018, a decision that held back the Joint Venture agreement proposed by the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer from 80% of its commercial aviation division to Boeing.

The Federal Court, in charge of Therezinha Cazerta, suspended a decision that had suspended the agreement at the beginning of the week. His decision came in response to a request from the Brazilian Attorney General, known as AGU, who argued that the injunction would harm the economy and that the previous decision represented excessive government intervention in the free market. The legal challenges to the agreement, which would reformulate the global passenger aviation market, have been plentiful and are common in Brazilian agreements in general.

Boeing and Embraer said on Monday that they had finalized the terms of the agreement, valuing the commercial division of the Brazilian manufacturer of planners at US$ 5.26 billion. The agreement needs the approval of the Brazilian government, since it has the so-called gold participation in Embraer that gives it veto power over strategic decisions and any change in its control interest. The plan’s manufacturer formally requested that approval on Monday and is expected to be within 30 days.

On Thursday, December 20, 2018 a judge issued the now nullified measure blocking the proposed settlement in response to a class action lawsuit filed by the Embraer union in Sao Jose dos Campos, where the planner is located. At the beginning of December, the same judge issued a similar court order blocking the agreement, only to see that the order fell rapidly. A \ W

AW-70099434.jpgAirbus has achieved the certification of the third member of the A320NEO family, the A319NEO with CFM LEAP-1A engines

The FAA and EASA have granted the airworthiness certification for the Airbus A319NEO with the LEAP-1A CFM engines. He has received a joint type certificate from the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration of the United States) on Friday, 21 December 2018.

The Certification Program of the A319NEO has taken two years of testing of the aircraft since its first flight on March 31, 2017. During these nine months, the single test frame has recorded more than 500 flight hours. This means that each member of the Airbus A320NEO family (New Motor Option) has now been certified by the authorities. The only remaining version, the A319NEO with Pratt & Whitney engines, will be certified at a later stage.

The Airbus A319NEO can carry up to 160 passengers, in a single-class configuration, up to 3,700 nautical miles (6,900 km). There is also a commercial version of the available aircraft, called ACJ319NEO, which can carry eight passengers up to 6,750nm (12,500 km). So far, the A319NEO has registered just over 50 orders with three of the ACJ (Airbus Corporate Jet) version. Airbus has sold 53 A319NEO so far.

The A320NEO family is the redesigned version of the best-selling A320 family of the European manufacturer Airbus, which first flew in 1988. So far, more than 100 customers have ordered 6,200 A320NEO aircraft, including A319NEO, A320NEO and A32NEO. The order book has outperformed its most important competitor the Beong 737 MAX

It is the fifth member of the A320neo family to be certified. The first was the A320NEO with the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines, on November 24, 2015; followed by the A320NEO with the CFM LEAP-1A on May 31, 2016; and the A321NEO with the PW1100G-JM, on December 15, 2016; and with the CFM LEAP-1A on March 1, 2017. The last member to be certified is the A319NEO with PW1100G-JM engines. A \ W

AW | 2018 12 21 15:45 | INDUSTRY

Mitsubishi_Logo.pngMitsubishi Aircraft Corporation is nearing completion of the MRJ-90 Program towards the final phase of Type Certification for Japan’s first commercial jet plane.

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced today that it received the Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) from the Office of Civil Aviation of Japan (JCAB) for the company’s Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) program. This authorization allows Mitsubishi Aircraft to begin flight certification tests for its MRJ-90, the only clean sheet design in the industry, the regional aircraft and Japan’s first commercial aircraft. The MRJ Program currently has a fleet of flight test aircraft at its flight test center in Moses Lake, Washington, United States. He expects to begin certification tests in flight at the beginning of 2019.

«Throughout our program, we have worked very closely with the JCAB to develop a well-defined set of processes, procedures and expectations that will lead us to the type of certification of our MRJ90.It has been a long, but necessary journey for the development of our MRJ program and for the commercial aviation industry in Japan», said Hisakazu Mizutani, president of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation.

According to Andrew Telesca, Head of the Certification Management Office of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation, due to the unique situation of the commercial aviation industry in Japan, the road to receiving this authorization has been different from any other in the world. «With little priority for such a program in Japan, the teams have worked tirelessly together to establish a flight test compliance system from scratch, and I am proud of the substantial efforts made by the JCAB and MITAC teams to achieve this milestone. Although there is still a lot to do to achieve Type Certification, we are pleased to have completed a key demonstration of the safety and maturity of the MRJ program and we look forward to working closely with the JCAB during this critical phase of the final program», explains Telesca.

The program is in a security review by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support the FAA Authorization Letter, which waits before the start of the flight certification tests. A \ W
