Air Tanzania se convierte en la quinta aerolínea del mundo al incorporar el Airbus A220
Air Tanzania se convirtió en la primera aerolínea africana en recibir el avión Airbus A220-300, la última incorporación a la familia de aviones comerciales Airbus. Air Tanzania (Las alas del Kilimanjaro) también se convierte en el último miembro de los operadores de aeronaves Airbus.
Representantes de la aerolínea, así como funcionarios del Gobierno de la República Unida de Tanzania y ejecutivos del programa A220 celebraron la entrega de aviones en la línea de ensamblaje de Mirabel A220. The A220 is the only aircraft purpose built for the 100-150 seat market, offering unbeatable fuel efficiency and true comfort in a single aisle. The A220 brings cutting-edge aerodynamics, advanced materials and PW1500G engineered turbofan engines from Pratt & Whitney to offer at least 20% less fuel per seat compared to previous generation aircraft. With a range of up to 3,200 nm (5020 km), the A220 offers the performance of larger single-aisle aircraft.
