Pierden demanda de compensación por Boeing 737 MAX

Un juez estadounidense dictaminó la semana pasada que las familias de las víctimas de los dos accidentes que dejaron en tierra el Boeing 737 MAX no podrían reabrir el enjuiciamiento contra el fabricante estadounidense. El desafío legal se había producido debido a que las víctimas habían sido legalmente declaradas como «víctimas de delitos» en los accidentes. LOT Polish Airlines y Smartwings Airlines iniciaron demandas similares contra Boeing, pero también fracasaron, cuando argumentaron que la puesta a tierra del tipo de aeronave había provocado pérdidas de ingresos.

LOT y Smartwings solicitaron ser declarados víctimas de delitos en casos de compensación con respecto al 737 MAX debido a sus pérdidas de ganancias durante la puesta a tierra del tipo. An American judge ruled last week that the families of the victims of the two accidents left on the ground the Boeing 737 MAX could not reopen the prosecution against the American manufacturer.
