Subsidiaria de Singapore Airlines selecciona E190-E2

Scoot Airlines ha seleccionado el Embraer E190-E2 para sus operaciones regionales firmando una Carta de Intención (LoI) con el lessor Azorra Aviation Holdings de Estados Unidos. La compañía subsidiaria de Singapore Airlines ha tomado en modo de arrendamiento nueve Embraer E190-E2 siendo el primer operador del modelo en Singapur.

Scoot ha confirmado el pedido al firmar una Carta de Intención (LoI) con Azorra para recibir nueve aviones Embraer E190-E2 de última generación que permitirán complementar las rutas como compañía de bajo costo de Singapur y una subsidiaria de propiedad total de Singapore Airlines. Comenzó sus operaciones el 4 de Junio de 2012 en rutas de media y larga distancia desde Singapur, principalmente a varios aeropuertos de la región de Asia y el Pacífico.

Es interesante ver a una aerolínea de bajo costo optar por un avión regional para rutas de bajo costo/bajo precio. La aerolínea ha explicado que empleará las nuevas unidades para operar rutas con un tráfico más ajustado a destinos no metropolitanos conjugando rutas de baja demanda con aeropuertos alternativos. Las rutas asignadas a los E190-E2 permitirán potenciar los destinos tanto de Scoot Airlines como de Singapore Airlines potenciando la red de servicios y permitiendo una mayor conexión.

La nueva aeronave regional Embraer E190-E2 se configurará con 112 asientos de clase única Economy y complementará la flota de Scoot compuesta por Airbus A320CEO (16), A320NEO (6), A321NEO (9), Boeing 787-8 (9) y Boeing 787-9 (10).

Scoot Airlines es el primer operador del modelo Embraer E190-E2 en el Sudeste Asiático, permitiendo a Embraer una victoria tras sus esfuerzos por obtener un nuevo cliente en la Región Asia-Pacífico.

Scoot Airlines has selected the Embraer E190-E2 for its regional operations signing a letter of intention (LoI) with the lessor Azorra Aviation Holdings of the United States. The Singapore Airlines subsidiary company has taken nine E190-E2 in lease mode being the first model of the Singapore model.

Scoot has confirmed the order by signing a letter of intention (LoI) with Azorra to receive nine E190-E2 last generation that will complement the routes as a low-cost company of Singapore and a total property subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. It began its operations on June 4, 2012 on medium and long distance routes from Singapore, mainly to several airports in the Asia and Pacific region.

It is interesting to see a low cost airline opt for a regional plane for low/low price routes. The airlines has explained that it will use the new units to operate routes with a traffic more adjusted to non -metropolitan destinations combining low demand routes with alternative airports. The routes assigned to the E190-E2 will allow to enhance the destinations of both Scoot Airlines and Singapore Airlines enhancing the service network and allowing a greater connection.

The new E190-E2 regional regional aircraft will be configured with 112 Economy single class seats and will complement the SCOOT fleet composed of Airbus A320CEO (16), A320NEO (6), A321NEO (9), Boeing 787-8 (9) and Boeing 787-9 (10).

Scoot Airlines is the first operator of the Embraer E190-E2 model in Southeast Asia, allowing a victory to be found after its efforts to get a new client in the Asia-Pacific region.
