Justicia Brasil desbloquea acuerdo Joint Venture Boeing-Embraer

Judge of Brazil revokes court order blocking agreement with Embraer-Boeing

A Brazilian judge annulled this Friday, December 22, 2018, a decision that held back the Joint Venture agreement proposed by the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer from 80% of its commercial aviation division to Boeing.

The Federal Court, in charge of Therezinha Cazerta, suspended a decision that had suspended the agreement at the beginning of the week. His decision came in response to a request from the Brazilian Attorney General, known as AGU, who argued that the injunction would harm the economy and that the previous decision represented excessive government intervention in the free market. The legal challenges to the agreement, which would reformulate the global passenger aviation market, have been plentiful and are common in Brazilian agreements in general.

Boeing and Embraer said on Monday that they had finalized the terms of the agreement, valuing the commercial division of the Brazilian manufacturer of planners at US$ 5.26 billion. The agreement needs the approval of the Brazilian government, since it has the so-called gold participation in Embraer that gives it veto power over strategic decisions and any change in its control interest. The plan’s manufacturer formally requested that approval on Monday and is expected to be within 30 days.

On Thursday, December 20, 2018 a judge issued the now nullified measure blocking the proposed settlement in response to a class action lawsuit filed by the Embraer union in Sao Jose dos Campos, where the planner is located. At the beginning of December, the same judge issued a similar court order blocking the agreement, only to see that the order fell rapidly. A \ W

Imagen relacionadaNorwegian Air would face collapse

Resultado de imagen para norwegian air pngNorwegian Air Shuttle ASA tries to reverse the group’s complicated financial situation

The low-cost-crash effect of several airlines continues to attack more airlines in Europe and the world. Airlines such as Primera Air and Cobalt Air, have been some of the victims of turbulent times. Others are experiencing difficulties such as Flybe, WOWAir, Jet Airways, among others. There are some factors that almost all airlines have cited as reasons for financial difficulties. These include high oil prices and low exchange rates. Now, the last airline that seems to be facing financial difficulties is Norwegian Air.

In recent years, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has had a great boom. This is due in large part to the minimum prices for long distance services. Something that the rival of Primera Air left had also offered. The airline has recently launched a low-cost subsidiary in Argentina. In addition, Norwegian is in the midst of a series of new aircraft deliveries. In fact, the carrier has even tried to sell some of its new aircraft to raise funds. While this was happening, the operator has also suffered other inconveniences recently.

Gatwick drama

A large part of the Norwegian flights depart from London Gatwick. Now, it will not be surprising that the airline has been affected by the recent interruption at the airport. All airline operations at the airport were suspended, prompting the airline to issue the following warning: London Gatwick Airport is currently closed and is affecting all flight operations inside and outside the airport. We recommend our passengers not to travel to London Gatwick at this time.

Other issues

There are a number of other circumstances that have affected Norwegian Air. Earlier this year, the airline was forced to rent an A380 during the Boeing 787 engine crisis. This led to a lot of delays, since Norwegian flights were initially scheduled for a time when New York had reached its capacity for A380 aircraft. Although Norwegian did not want to cancel all its flights, they were losing money on every A380 flight that was operated. This is due to the cost of hiring the plane and the crew, combined with the super cheap rates that are offered. While Norwegian should have paid compensation for each of these flights, the airline alleges that A380 flights were also delayed due to extraordinary circumstances.

The Norwegian air fleet is currently dropping a plane. One of the Boeing 737-MAX airlines is currently stranded in Iran due to a fault that required an immediate landing. According to the sources, repairing the plane will not be easy, since the sanctions of US against Iran are generating difficulties to export the spare parts. As such, a Norwegian Air spokesman said: «It is true that the aircraft is still in Iran and it has not yet been clarified when the technicians can begin their work».

Financial situation

Norwegian Air has only nine days before a full crisis regarding its financing. According to reports, the next 9 days are critical for Norwegians according to the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv. The Norwegian newspaper reported on Thursday that the airline was a few days away from a total crisis in relation to its financial status. Due to the large acquisitions of aircraft, the airline is currently in the midst of heavy debts. As such, Martin Stenshall of Danske Bank believes that the terms of the Norwegian loans will be violated by the new year. That means that the lenders could demand immediate repayment. Stenshall told him: «If the company has to report a violation of the conditions surrounding its debt, it can land in an evil spiral and the crisis will intensify». A \ W

Turbulence in Flybondi

AW-Flybondi_Aircraft-001 (2)Amid rumors of financial problems, the CEO of the low cost airline Flybondi, Julian Cook, resigned

The CEO of Flybondi Líneas Aéreas, Julian Cook will take the Vice Presidency of the airline and his replacement was appointed Andrés Vacarezza, who served as CFO (Finance Officer).

In less than a year of the first anniversary of Flybondi, it is the second loss in the company of an official. The first casualty had been that of one of its founders, Richard Gluzman, an old associate of former deputy chief of staff, Mario Quintana. Also since its inception has gone through numerous technical problems that led to cancellations and delays in the air services network.

The «Aircraft Revolution»

In the new stage of the «Aircraft Revolution» in Argentina, the firm was one of the most favored by the open skies policy promoted by the Government, with the largest number of routes granted since the first Public Hearing. At the beginning of 2018 he started his inaugural flight El Palomar-Córdoba.

Flybondi benefits from paying the State of the Province of Córdoba the benefit of paying half of the gross income on the aviation rate for a term of two years, while for the following three, the responsibility for payment will go up to 75%

Financial turbulence

Flybondi has 550 employees, including pilots, crew, maintenance technicians, mechanics, traffic agents and ramps. Despite the tax advantages, the company shows some financial problems in a market that contracts. Speculation of financial problems is based on the departure of the US Cartesian Capital fund, a fundamental part of the capital contribution of the low-cost airline. In the official statement of Flybondi, the company ensures that the changes are due to the fact that the low cost will «focus on new businesses from a more global perspective and in the company’s current business at a regional level». The restructuring of management is due to unrealized achievements or expectations. A \ W

MRJ-90 próximo Certificación Tipo

Resultado de imagen para Mitsubishi MRJ-90

AW | 2018 12 21 15:45 | INDUSTRY

Mitsubishi_Logo.pngMitsubishi Aircraft Corporation is nearing completion of the MRJ-90 Program towards the final phase of Type Certification for Japan’s first commercial jet plane.

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced today that it received the Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) from the Office of Civil Aviation of Japan (JCAB) for the company’s Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) program. This authorization allows Mitsubishi Aircraft to begin flight certification tests for its MRJ-90, the only clean sheet design in the industry, the regional aircraft and Japan’s first commercial aircraft. The MRJ Program currently has a fleet of flight test aircraft at its flight test center in Moses Lake, Washington, United States. He expects to begin certification tests in flight at the beginning of 2019.

«Throughout our program, we have worked very closely with the JCAB to develop a well-defined set of processes, procedures and expectations that will lead us to the type of certification of our MRJ90.It has been a long, but necessary journey for the development of our MRJ program and for the commercial aviation industry in Japan», said Hisakazu Mizutani, president of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation.

According to Andrew Telesca, Head of the Certification Management Office of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation, due to the unique situation of the commercial aviation industry in Japan, the road to receiving this authorization has been different from any other in the world. «With little priority for such a program in Japan, the teams have worked tirelessly together to establish a flight test compliance system from scratch, and I am proud of the substantial efforts made by the JCAB and MITAC teams to achieve this milestone. Although there is still a lot to do to achieve Type Certification, we are pleased to have completed a key demonstration of the safety and maturity of the MRJ program and we look forward to working closely with the JCAB during this critical phase of the final program», explains Telesca.

The program is in a security review by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support the FAA Authorization Letter, which waits before the start of the flight certification tests. A \ W
