Alertan fallos en el Airbus A350

AW | 2017 08 24 13:47 | INDSUTRY / SAFETY / SECURITY

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

Alert on Airbus A350 crashes

The European Aviation Safety Agency has sent an alert, the highest level of urgency of the body for the aircraft Airbus A350

A chain of failures would cause excessive overheating that would involve the fuel tank system. Airbus Group has assured that it will solve the error quickly with a computer update.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has warned of a possible «chain of errors» that could lead to a fire in the fuel tanks of the Airbus A350-941 model. The warning, the greater urgency of the warnings published by the EASA, draws attention to a combination of failures that could cause overheating of the hydraulic fluid, and thus cause a fire of the mixture of air and fuel in the tank.

The European authority EASA explained that the explosion could happen if a hydraulic pump in the cooling system stops working and the coolant, which is stored next to the fuel tanks, is overheated. The mixture of air and fuel in the tank could explode. If this problem is not detected and the fuel blast safety system (FTIS) is not active, the mixture of air and fuel in the tank could become reactive. Airbus explained that the problem of overheating could be quickly detected and remedied thanks to an update of the aircraft computer system.

The EASA publishes almost daily safety warnings to manufacturers and operators, but on rare occasions it is alerts. The Airbus A350-900 series are long-haul and wide-body aircraft that began operating at the end of 2014 and had been delivered to the end of 2016 for a total of 94 units. The only European airline operating the Airbus A350 is the German Lufthansa. A \ W

INAC suspende ruta Venezuela-Panamá de SBA Airlines

AW | 2017 08 22 19:31 | AIRLINES

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

INAC suspends SBA Airlines route between Venezuela-Panama

As of August 29, the operations of the airline Santa Bárbara Airlines on the route from Panama to Venezuela and vice versa, by orders of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), are suspended.

Sources linked to travel agencies at the national level reported that they were notified of the measure by the Venezuelan aeronautical authority.

The company SBA Airlines has not issued an official statement on the matter, and travel agencies with Maiquetía-Panama tickets from August 29 onwards have warned their passengers to take the forecasts that the case warrants.

Sources of the INAC indicated that the decision of the aeronautical institution is due to the little operative capacity that has the airline Santa Bárbara Airlines. The airline’s flights have been covered for four weeks by the airline Aserca, which belongs to the same group and commercial ally. This is detrimental to internal domestic routes.

It also transpired that the flights to Miami are being operated by the airline World Atlantic, American company, because at the moment, Santa Bárbara Airlines, has no operating aircraft. A \ W

Aeropostal a un paso de su quiebra

AW | 2017 08 22 15:07 | AIRLINES

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

Aeropostal a step away from its bankruptcy

Venezuelan airline Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela would enter into a technical closure

The deep crisis in Venezuela has drilled resources and restricted markets for a policy that is providing the country with airlines such as Aeropostal with 88 years of experience.

Today, Tuesday, August 22, the insurance to the Boeing MD-82 aircraft with registration YV-2957 that belongs to the Venezuelan Aeropostal Line (LAV) expires. The alert is based on the fact that it is the only airplane that remains operative, so if the airline or the Venezuelan state does not send enough resources to renew the insurance policy, Venezuela’s first airline can enter technical closure and stop flying.

William Dugarte, an expert in civil aeronautics and president of the Venezuelan Institute of Air Safety, blamed the situation on the board that was created in 2010 to take control of LAV, after the businessman Walid Makled was frozen his assets by the Criminal investigations related to cases of drug trafficking and homicide.

In May 2008 through a family conglomerate, the airline was acquired by the Makled Group in May 2008, but that same year the company had to face the direction with problems of smuggling narcotics.

Two years later the Special Controller Board was appointed by a court to run the company. Since that date, Aeropostal has passed through several administrations linked to entities of the Venezuelan State like the Ministry of Water and Air Transport.

Currently the airline has a fleet of four aircraft, of which three MD-82s are inoperative, and one fourth MD-82 is soon to expire the insurance policy. In 2002, Aeropostal had 22 aircraft and toured 12 international routes. Now he only travels to Maracaibo (Zulia), Porlamar (Nueva Esparta) and Panama.

«The National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) gave an extension to the airline to update the structure of this aircraft until September 24, which makes it presume that in the absence of foreign exchange not to make this investment the technical closure is evident . Only a state intervention could prevent the country’s oldest airline from stopping its operations», said William Dugarte.

This threat of technical closure is presented as part of the economic crisis suffered by domestic and foreign airlines due to the lack of foreign exchange in Venezuela. The international airlines that continue to operate in Venezuela to date are: Air Europa, Air France, American Airlines, Copa Airlines, Panama, Cubana, Delta Airlines, Iberia, Latin America Wings (LAW), Chile, Tame, Ecuador , TAP and Turkish Airlines.

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

Pilgrims from Qatar can not travel to Arabia

Resultado de imagen para Arabia Saudi Qatar pngThe Saudi Arabian Airlines had requested a landing permit several days ago

Resultado de imagen para Saudi Arabian Airlines logoSaudi Arabia’s state-owned Saudi Arabian Airlines said on Sunday it was unable to send planes to transport Qatari pilgrims to the kingdom because it could not get permission to land at Doha Airport amid a diplomatic row between the two countries.

Qatar and Saudi Arabia, along with three other Arab states, have been locked in a political dispute that broke transport relations with Doha in June, but Riyadh said last week that it would facilitate the Qatari trip to the annual pilgrimage.

Between 2 million and 3 million Muslims travel to Mecca every year for the pilgrimage, which all healthy Muslims have a duty to perform at least once in their lifetime.

In addition to reopening its land border with Qatar, Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday that King Salman had ordered the shipment of a Saudi Arabian plane to fly the Qatari pilgrims to Jeddah at their own expense to be able to go to Mecca, Of Islam.

However, the first flight could not take off from Saudi Arabia because it had not yet received a landing permit in Doha, Saleh al-Jasser, the airline’s chief executive, said.

A Qatari Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) official denied reports by the media in the blocking nations that Qatar had refused to allow Saudi Airlines to fly to Qatari pilgrims.

«The CAA received a request from Saudi Airlines in which it requested to take the pilgrims from Qatar and responded by explaining that they should coordinate with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs through the Hajj Delegation of Qatar on this issue, according to the procedures followed In the past, so that the CAA can take the necessary measures in this regard, «said the official, who refused to be named.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severed transport links with Qatar in June and imposed sanctions, accusing them of supporting Islamic militants and Iran, which Doha denies.

Last week, Qatar welcomed Saudi’s decision to open the border and offer flights for Qatari pilgrims, but also said it viewed the move as politically motivated.

Saudi Arabia had already stated that Qatari pilgrims would not be affected by travel restrictions, but some Qatari say they faced difficulties in organizing the trip for haj, which runs from late August to early September this year .

The Qatari pilgrims began crossing the land border on Thursday, according to al-Arabiya television, owned by Saudi Arabia.

Qatar had accused Saudi Arabia of politicizing the pilgrimage and complained to the UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion last month. A \ W
