Argentina suspends issuance of INT ticket

Argentine airlines will readjust international fares

The airlines of the Argentine Republic have suspended the sale of international tickets by the Government, to readjust the rates to the new tax, which will bring the dollar to levels close to AR$ 130 pesos.

The sale of international air tickets is suspended in the main airlines of the country, due to the fact that as of Wednesday 09/16 they must charge passengers the new tax of 35%, which will carry the price of the Dollar in this type of services at a value close to AR$ 130 pesos per unit. «The international sale was canceled to readjust the system to the new regulations. It is only for international flights», said sources from Aerolíneas Argentinas, who assured that, as happened with the country tax, the new income tax will not apply to cabotage passages.

Aviation tax

In December 2019, with the application of the PAIS tax, there was an intermediate period of several days in which the airlines registered an avalanche of purchases, by passengers who wanted to anticipate the increase decided with the rule approved in Congress. In this case, the application has been in force since Wednesday 09/16, so there was no space for that window.

With the new scheme announced on Tuesday 09/16 by the Central Bank, the airlines now charge the passenger their rate at the official dollar price, to which they add the PAIS tax (30%) and now the new tax on account of Profits (35%), in addition to airport, ANAC and Tourism taxes.

Lawsuit for the floor

In Argentina, regular passenger flights have been suspended since mid-March 2020. Although the ANAC and the Ministry of Transport have already given signs that this activity could be resumed as of October 1, 2020, the Executive Power has not yet revoked the ban valid. The demand for tickets is on the ground, so that the country’s airlines doubt about a considerable rebound in the international arena. «The truth is that we have almost no orders, so there is no comparison with what happened in December», said one of the airlines with the most ticketing abroad.

In the case of the budget airline Flybondi Lineas Aereas, which sells cabotage tickets, as well as to regional destinations such as Uruguay and Brazil, the item «RG 4815» has already been added to its sales system, which applies the 35% recharge. «We are already issuing tickets to Brazil and Paraguay with that item», they said from the low cost company.

The suspension of the sale also has an operational cost, which can take at least three days. Industry sources indicated that the procedure is as follows: the market leading airline (in this case, Aerolíneas) must inform the International Airline Association (IATA) of the modification of the tax base of the rates issued in Argentina, for this Swiss-based entity to incorporate them into its clearing system and pass them on to the international reservation companies, Saber and Amadeus. «This whole process takes no less than 72 hours since it begins», added the sources.

Travel agency

The Civil Association of Argentine SMEs Travel Agents and Agencies (AVAECE) has released a statement in which it has expressed its extreme concern and rejection of the measures adopted by the AFIP, which impose a 35% perception on the contracting of tickets and services tourists abroad, as payment on account of income tax. The agency maintains that this will cause the sudden death of the sector and destroy the source of work for employees and families. «This totally arbitrary and apocalyptic measure for the tourism sector not only leaves the different suppliers involved in the marketing chain exposed, but also the passengers, consumers and workers who rescheduled their trips as a result of the pandemic and who to date they could not specify them. If the companies die, all those contracted trips will be truncated”, they expressed from the association.

Tourist agencies unsuccessfully appealed to different instances of dialogue and formal and institutional tools and stated: “It is an obscenity that after passing twenty-four draft regulations to save the sector, but at present we do not even have the regulations of the Sustaining and Productive Reactivation of the National Tourist Activity, approved on September 1. With this new provision, it seems that what is written with the hand is being erased with the elbow, throwing away what has been worked from the Legislative Power and totally ignoring the seriousness of the situation that our sector is going through in particular, which was the first to leave to work and the last one to start doing it”, they repudiated from the tourism sector.

The AVAECE has requested that purchases of tourist services made through the Argentine travel agencies with an enabling file located in the national territory be exempted from the tax of the measure. “Statistically, these purchases did not represent more than 20% of the total consumption abroad. The logic of applying a new tax measure is incomprehensible, punishing the purchase of travel when currently sales are almost nil and the outbound tourism sector is literally paralyzed. SME travel agencies need oxygen to be able to preserve job sources and meet all the passengers who trusted to buy their trips”, concluded the tourism association.

Informe Congreso sobre Boeing/FAA

AW | 2020 09 17 00:45 | AIR INVESTIGATION / GOVERNMENT / AVIATION SAFETY

The Boeing Company

Congress Report on Boeing/FAA

Congressional report criticizes Boeing and FAA for 737 MAX failures

A Report from the United States Congress has been issued this Wednesday, September 16, 2020 where a criticism is ratified about the poor performance by The Boeing Company and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the United States aviation regulatory and oversight body , just as international regulators are moving toward recertification. Numerous design, management and regulatory failures during the development of the Boeing 737 MAX preceded the preventable deaths of 346 people in two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft crashes, according to a damning congressional report released Wednesday.

The 238-page House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Report has denounced a Boeing that prioritized profit over safety and detailed disturbing cultural issues related to employee surveys that showed undue pressure experienced on how the manufacturer raced to finish the plane to compete with its European rival Airbus Group. The report said concerns about the aircraft were not addressed enough to push for design changes. Some bipartisan lawmakers introduced legislation this year that aims to increase FAA oversight of the airline industry. Lawmakers found that the aviation agency failed to protect the traveling public, in part due to excessive delegation of certification work to Boeing.

In response to the report, the FAA agency stated: “The FAA is committed to the continued advancement of aviation security and looks forward to working with the Committee to implement the improvements identified in its report. We have implemented several initiatives focused on promoting aviation security in general by improving our organization, processes and culture”.

Senior Republicans on the House Committee, Representatives Sam Graves of Missouri and Garret Graves of Louisiana, said in a statement that the non-partisan recommendations “not a partisan investigation report should serve as the basis for action congressional». Garret Graves is the highest ranking Republican on the aviation subcommittee. Sam Graves’ home state counts Boeing as a major employer.

“The Majority Staff investigation began by concluding that our system was broken and it worked backwards from there. As we said from the beginning, if aviation and safety experts determine that areas can be improved in the FAA’s processes for certifying aircraft and equipment, then Congress will act. This is how we can address these two tragic accidents and make our safe system even safer”, said the Congressmen.

The report, which is in the works for about 18 months, comes as regulators are in the final stretch of work to recertify the 737 MAX, which has been grounded around the world since March 2019, following the second of the two. Fatal accidents on Lion air flights JT-610 and Ethiopian Airlines ET-302.

As stated in the Chamber of Transportation Report: “They were the horrible culmination of a series of erroneous technical assumptions on the part of Boeing engineers, a lack of transparency on the part of Boeing management and extremely insufficient oversight by Boeing. FAA, the pernicious result of regulatory capture by the FAA regarding its responsibilities to provide robust oversight of Boeing and ensure the safety of the flying public». Lawmakers and staff said they received 600,000 pages of records from Boeing, the FAA, airlines and others for their investigation, conducted interviews with two dozen employees and regulators, and considered comments from whistleblowers who contacted the Committee. Of transport.

On October 29, 2018, Lion Air flight JT-610 from Jakarta, Indonesia, and on March 10, 2019, Ethiopian Airlines flight ET-302 from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, crashed shortly after takeoff, killing everyone on board. At the center of the crashes was an automated system known as MCAS, which pilots on both flights fought to override, activating again after receiving inaccurate sensor data. The pilots were not informed of MCAS until after the first accident and mentions of it were removed from their manuals. In 2019, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) found that Boeing overestimated the ability of pilots to handle a series of alerts during malfunctions.

The Boeing Company

Boeing has made changes to the MCAS system that make it less powerful, give pilots more control and provide more data before it is activated. That’s among other changes that regulators have reviewed as part of the process of recertifying planes as insurance for the traveling public. “We have learned many difficult lessons as a company from the accidents of Lion Air Flight JT-610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET-302, and from the mistakes we have made. As recognized in this report, we have made fundamental changes to our company as a result and continue to seek ways to improve. Change is always difficult and requires daily commitment, but we, as a company, are dedicated to getting the job done”, Boeing said in a statement.

The House of Transportation Report, led by Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Oregon, the Committee Chair, and Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Washington, Chairman of the Aviation Subcommittee, whose Seattle-area district includes the plant of Boeing in Everett, said its investigation «leaves open the question of Boeing’s willingness to admit and learn from the company’s mistakes».

Relatives of victims

Some of the relatives of the accident victims say that Boeing has not done enough. “I think the whole project should be scrapped. I think this was a rushed project and … now they rush to recertify. You cannot put a dollar value on the life of any passenger”, said Yalena López Lewis, whose husband, Antoine, was killed on Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET-302.

Michael Stumo, whose daughter Samya Stumo also died in the accident in Ethiopia, said «Boeing and regulators did not do enough after the first accident five months earlier. Before Lion Air, it was a mistake. After Lion Air it was unforgivable», said.

The accidents pushed the aerospace company Boeing into the biggest crisis in its history, as its best-selling aircraft could not be delivered to customers and costs rose. The missteps cost Dennis Muilenburg his job as Boeing CEO and led the company to undergo an internal restructuring to improve its approach to safety. Now, the Coronavirus pandemic that has affected the demand for air travel around the world, along with the extensive ground connection, presents Boeing with a new problem, aircraft cancellations continue to pile up.

The manufacturer’s problems don’t end with the 737 MAX. Failures have recently been discovered in some 787 Dreamliners, prompting inspections that slowed deliveries of the wide-body aircraft.

Boeing continues to face difficulties within its commercial unit, the product of a work philosophy that continues to cost the aerospace company a colossal astronomical number of economic losses.

Argentina señales para El Palomar

AW | 2020 09 15 21:05 | AIRPORTS / GOVERNMENT

Gobierno manda señales positivas continuidad El Palomar

Argentina signs for El Palomar

Government sends positive signals continuity El Palomar

The Ministry of Transport of Argentina has shown positive signals to the airlines that operate at the El Palomar/EPA International Airport, after the public and personal request by the mayors of the West Zone and the pressure that both in the interior cities and In the legislative chambers, the political blocs of JXC, the Minister of Transport, Mario Meoni, would have changed his mind regarding the closure of the low cost air station in El Palomar.

From Transport, they are thinking of October 1, 2020 as the date for the reopening as the date to resume regular flights, both domestic and international, explained Mario Meoni. But these days a version has circulated about a possible continuity of the operations of the El Palomar International Airport but subject to night time restrictions between 10:00 p.m. and 07:00 a.m.

Sources from the Ministry of Transportation indicated to the Foreground portal that «when everything is lifted, it will be able to operate with the judicial limitation. Hopefully it will be for the first days of October». El Diario Clarín reported another statement: «It will be necessary to see if the destinations can receive flights due to the evolution of the pandemic in each province», in both cases referring to the El Palomar Airport.

The first low cost airport in South America is the fourth airport in number of passengers transported on domestic flights, which shows the momentum that the demand for more destinations, more flights, has, which translates into more direct and indirect jobs.

The airport concessionaire Airports Argentina 2000 (AA2000) has requested its temporary closure, until the quarantine is lifted. Unattended request by the Regulatory Body of the National Airport System (OSRNA), which is the only one that, officially, can say executive about the functional destination of El Palomar Airport. Although the case that the Justice has in charge of the Federal Judge of San Martín, Martina Forns, still weighs, which must be issued on a complaint of environmental contamination. Behind the scenes, the low cost airport problem is well known for its political background in favor of the interests of the State on the part of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Currently two airlines operate at El Palomar Airport, Flybondi Líneas Aéreas and Jetsmart Airlines Argentina. «Places were opened in the Aeroparque, but they do not offer it. They wanted to send us to Ezeiza. They are looking for the monopoly of Aerolíneas», said the CEO of Jetsmart.

Pro-El Palomar politicians

Due to its location, its proximity to the accesses to Buenos Aires, connection with the train line and the highway, El Palomar Airport provides an effective alternative to decentralize a growing future demand for Argentine air transport. «We understand that the Airport generates more benefits than damages. Since December 2019 we have opened the doors for everyone to express themselves. There are people who look with good eyes, and others who genuinely generate questions and did not have institutional channels before to raise them. But beyond This exchange, the position of the Municipality is that the airport has to continue», had expressed the Mayor of Morón, Lucas Ghi. After the mobilization, the communal chiefs Juan Zabaleta of Hurlingham also spoke in favor of continuity; Diego Valenzuela from Tres de Febrero and Alberto Descalzo, from Ituzaingó.

During the quarantine trade union associations of Flybondi and JetSmart workers asked for the preservation of some 10,000 jobs that, they say, generates activity in the air terminal between direct and indirect jobs. In recent weeks, in addition to the march, there were some charter flights, so some movements began to be recorded in the area, which since March 20, 2020 returned to the quiet it had before the airport was inaugurated. Following the announcement by the Minister of Transport on the possible return of the flights, the airlines are awaiting an official resolution.

AW | 2020 09 14 21:00 | INDUSTRY / GOVERNMENT

Embraer labor conciliation court

Labor Court new conciliation hearing after dismissals at Embraer

The Labor Court of the XV Region (TRT-15) of the Republic of Brazil has scheduled a new hearing for September 22, 2020 after the Sindicato de Trabajadores Metallurgicos de São José dos Campos (STMSJ) filed a lawsuit to reverse 2,500 layoffs. The company announced 900 cuts, which will add 1,600 layoffs after Voluntary Dismissal Plan (PDV).

At the beginning of September 2020, Embraer announced 900 employee cuts, in addition to the 1,600 layoffs of employees who adhered to Voluntary Dismissal Plans open in all the company’s units in the country. The first meeting in the Labor Court, scheduled at the request of Embraer, ended without agreement. The process is a secret of Justice.

Guild STMSJ

This time, the hearing was scheduled after the Union filed a collective bargaining action at the TRT. According to the Metalworkers Union, the action requires cancellation of all layoffs, including those related to the PDV. Representatives of the category affirm that the company made the cuts without looking for alternatives that could minimize the social impact caused. The STMSJ Union also informed that it will propose in the conciliation hearing the proposal to equalize the salaries paid by the company, with a ceiling of R$ 39,200. The agency believes that this measure would be enough to pay the salaries of the 2,500 fired workers. The Union said it even proposed a salary cap as a way to redistribute income to maintain jobs and that the proposal was rejected. The proposal is the same that the union intends to bring back to the negotiating table.

Embraer

Embraer had closed on September 2, 2020 the deadline to register for the third POS opened during the pandemic. The measure was an attempt to adapt staff to the impacts caused by the pandemic. There were 1,600 PDV accessions, but as the volume did not reach the required target, Embraer announced that it will make 900 more cuts. To justify the layoffs, Embraer alleges the impact caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the cancellation of the partnership with Boeing, in addition to the lack of expectations of recovery in the air transport sector in the short and medium term.

According to the company, the cuts were made with the «objective of ensuring the sustainability of the company and its engineering capacity», according to the Brazilian aerospace company. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Embraer has adopted a series of measures such as collective vacations, reduction of working hours, dismissal (temporary suspension of contracts) and paid leave.

Embraer informed that it remains open to negotiation and that it has already signed agreements with the Union of Engineers of the State of São Paulo and with the Metallurgical Union of Botucatu. He also reinforced that negotiations continue to advance with other categories. Embraer reported that at the hearing «it presented a proposal to extend the benefits of medical assistance and food subsidy to the dismissed employees. The São José dos Campos Metalworkers Union remained intransigent, rejected the proposal and was not even willing to carry it out. valuation of metallurgists through assembly”.

The STMSJ Union says the layoffs took it by surprise. The agency considers the dismissals announced on Thursday 10/09 illegal.

Harassment report

The Public Ministry of Labor (MPT) is investigating complaints received from Embraer employees who denounce pressure to join the PDV. The Metalworkers Union launched a campaign to encourage the reporting of cases of harassment in relation to the POS, which referred the complainants to the MPT. According to the union, 15 workers were ordered to go to the MPT, which received three complaints in late August.

Embraer stressed that the PDV is a voluntary process and is communicated with transparency to people, following the code of ethics and conduct. According to the company, the employees were informed by official channels about the program.

Embraer Financial

Embraer S.A. has recorded a loss of R$ 2,950 million Reais in the first half of 2020, while in the first half of 2019 the company recorded a loss of R$ 134 million. Only in the second quarter, the net loss was R$ 1.68 billion, the worst result for a quarter in 20 years.

Order portfolio

According to Embraer, in the first six months of 2020, only four commercial jets and 13 business jets were delivered, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The company states that there was no cancellation in the commercial portfolio, only changes in the delivery period.

Boeing-Embraer Alliance

At the end of April 2020, Boeing announced the termination of the Joint Venture agreement that would give the US giant control over Embraer’s commercial aviation division, amid the spread of the crisis in the aviation sector and the global economy, leaving Embraer without a defined alternative plan.

Embraer reported in the balance sheet that the costs of business separation related to the strategic alliance with Boeing, now closed, recognized in January 2020, reached the cost of R$ 96.8 million. In an attempt to reduce the impacts on the company, Embraer signed a contract in July 2020 with five public and private banks to contract loans worth US$ 300 million to finance working capital for exports.

Embraer Financeira

Justicia rechaza DIP a Latam Group

AW | 2020 09 14 14:00 | AIRLINES / GOVERNMENT

Justice rejects DIP to Latam Group

New York Bankruptcy Court rejects DIP funding from Latam Group

The Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York in the United States has rejected the DIP (Debtor-In-Possession) financing of US$ 2.45 billion provided by Latam Group SA, which has been undergoing judicial reorganization since May 2020. The option Fund for companies undergoing restructuring, in the case of Latam Group, has not been approved due to the concern of the Court of Justice over the US$ 900 million contributed by Qatar Airways and Costa Verde Aeronáutica. According to the New York Court, as shareholders, the investments of Qatar Airways and Costa Verde Aeronáutica could result in an increase in the participation of these companies within the Latam Group under abusive clauses. Directly and indirectly, Costa Verde Aeronáutica, an investment company of the Cueto and Amaro families, currently owns 23.5% of the Latam Group shares, while Qatar Airways owns another 10%.

Creditors Committee

Following a complaint filed by the Latam Creditors Committee, which comprises a group of security holders and Knighthead Capital Management LLC, Judge James L. Garrity ruled that the terms of the loan could result in increased shareholder participation under conditions unfair. This is because, due to the financing conditions of US$ 900 million, Qatar Airways and Costa Verde Aeronáutica could convert the debts into new Latam shares with a 20% discount, in case the company could not pay its debts. “For this reason, the Court will not approve the DIP Financing”, the judge decided.

The Executive President of Latam, Roberto Alvo, affirmed that, within the stock exchange process, «the company, together with its legal and financial advisors, is analyzing the court’s decision and its scope to define a course of action».

The DIP package also consists of a US$ 1.3 billion loan from Oaktree Capital Management and an additional US$ 250 million as a potential loan from Chilean shareholders on the same terms as the US$ 900 million guaranteed by Qatar Airways and Costa Verde Aeronáutica. Although the court did not dispute Oaktree’s US$ 1.5 billion and smaller shareholders, the package must be approved in its entirety.

Flybondi fallo favorable Expediente

AW | 2020 09 10 19:23 | AIRLINES / GOVERNMENT

Flybondi favorable ruling File

Flybondi would exercise rights to claim for El Palomar

On 09/10, Chamber II of the Federal Administrative Litigation Chamber has rejected the Extraordinary Appeal filed by the Regulatory Body of the National Airport System (ORSNA) against the Precautionary Law previously ruled, giving Flybondi Líneas Aéreas the right to view and participate in the File regarding the closure of El Palomar International Airport to commercial operations, allowing the low cost airline to present its legal position in this regard.

The company has made important progress where it will be able to exercise its rights in the administrative file, limiting the ORSNA’s possibilities to make decisions that directly affect the operations of the airline at the El Palomar International Airport until «it is granted a hearing for ten business days and a copy of any file in which it processes any request directed to the closure of the El Palomar Airport or in any way limiting the operations carried out at said Airport, and allowing it to be held by interested party and intervene in those actions prior to the issuance of a decision on the issues that the ORSNA is analyzing, allowing Flybondi to present its legal position in this regard», as stated in the judicial decree.

The new ruling gives Flybondi greater freedom to make the just claims that in April 2020 the concessionaire Airports Argentina 2000 (AA2000) had requested the ORSNA to disengage the El Palomar Airport from the National Airport System (SNA) under the justification of its lack profitability. The same policies could be formulated at airports in the Patagonia Region where the flow of air movement is even lower than that of El Palomar. The position regarding the decision of the Government and the AA2000 concessionaire to close the first low cost airport in South America is unpresentable and unethical, without calling for consultation between the affected organizations and companies. The Government, through the Ministry of Transportation, turned the claim to align it to the onerous argument about the oversupply of air stations in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area region, where the Jorge Newbery, Ezeiza and El Palomar airports participate.

The current court ruling supports the position of the airline Flybondi to claim the legitimate rights to continue pursuing the final ruling of the Argentine Justice so that the first low cost airport in South America continues to be open to a more democratic market with the freedom to fly in Argentina towards the world.

Paola Tamburelli, head of the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC); Peter Cerdá, IATA Vice President for America; Gonzalo Yelpo, Advisor to the Latin American and Caribbean Airlines Association (ALTA), Pablo Ceriani, CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Daniel Ketchibachian, CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 (AA2000); Gonzalo Pérez Corral, Manager of JetSmart Airlines Argnetina; Mauricio Sena, CEO of Flybondi Líneas Aéreas, and Luis Monreal, General Manager of Lufthansa German Airlines, among other players in the industry.

During the virtual meeting, the ANAC has indicated that they have been working «for several months with the different sectors for the conformation of a unified protocol to reduce the transmission of the virus to the maximum, before, during and after», said Paola Tamburelli who will be presented on Friday 9/11 to the health authorities for final approval. She reiterated that they are “thinking about October 1 for the restart of flights. The last word is held by the health authorities, which are the ones who evaluate the development of the pandemic and in that sense we are ingrained with the objective of the President of the Nation, in that the priority is the safety of the population”.

Peter Cerdá, from the IATA body, has indicated that for the recovery of the industry in Argentina “it will be essential the joint and joint work of the public sector with the private sector, and that a close collaboration with the Government, not only with the Transport authorities, but also Tourism and Finance authorities, will be essential for this recovery. Argentina has great potential and is facing a great opportunity to achieve a full recovery, maintaining internal and external connectivity, and we are sure that there will be more people traveling in a short time”, said the IATA Vice President for America.

Daniel Ketchibachian, from the Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 concessionaire, also explained that they have been “looking at what happens in the world’s airports to adapt and adapt to the new times and assured that airports are not sources of contagion of the virus, so we are convinced that progress can be made in the return of flights. We are prepared for that”, detailed the CEO of AA2000. In the same way, both Monreal of Lufthansa Airlines, as CEO Pérez Corral of JetSmart Argentina and Mauricio Sana of Flybondi, who detailed their position regarding the possibility of flying again, and particularly Monreal anticipated that Lufthansa will specify, starting in October 2020, three flights per week with Lufthansa Buenos Aires-Frankfurt and one weekly flight with Edelweiss Air Buenos Aires-Zurich.

Reclamo 10S a favor de El Palomar

AW | 2020 09 10 14:58 | AIRLINES / AIRPORTS / GOVERNMENT

Claim 10S in favor of El Palomar

Low cost airline employees protested El Palomar continuity

Workers of the low cost airlines demonstrated again this Thursday 09/10 for the return of cabotage operations and the continuity of the air terminal of the El Palomar International Airport, before the change of discourse of the Ministry of Transport. The call represented by the employees and aeronautical unions of the Flybondi Aviation Workers Association (ATAF) and the JetSmart Workers Union Association (ASTJ) accompanied by a sector of politics in favor of the interests of conserving the air unit in the locality from El Palomar, Municipality of Morón, Province of Buenos Aires. It is the former base of the 1st Air Brigade.

The claim in this 10S took place at the access door of the El Palomar International Airport in favor of the operational continuity of the air station as well as the job sources at stake, more than 10 thousand direct and indirect jobs, which expect to return to the activity.

«There is an intention of wanting to favor the state operator. Latam is leaving and leaving places in Aeroparque, which they could give us, and even that is in doubt. They want Aeroparque to use it monopolistically Aerolíneas Argentinas, and to send us to a more expensive terminal and far away», Jetsmart CEO Gonzalo Pérez Corral said yesterday.

A case in the Federal Justice of San Martín continues to be processed for damage to the environment and to the concessionaire itself: «AA2000 has many deficit airports and the only one that asked to close is this one, which is very cheap and has had a low investment in relation to the passengers», explained the CEO of JetSmart to the publishing house Un Medio de Morón.

Aerolineas Argentinas is subsidized by the State and is in an adjustment stage. It is likely that the Ministry of Transport will give the airport low cost as a bargaining chip. For now, the workers have been very concerned and distressed by the situation. «There is no change, the situation has worsened», said Florence Busso, an employee of Flybondi.

«In-flight contagion is very low and should be restored as soon as possible. There are many people who need to travel. So far there is nothing certain», said the CEO of Jetsmart Argentina.

Tourism present

From the tourism sector they are very angry because from the Nation they never lowered a work protocol and announced that there will be a season. The estimated date is October 1, 2020, but there is nothing official. For now, it depends on the guarantee of Health.
