La crisis argentina impulsa a Flybondi volar a mercado regional
La aerolínea de bajo costo argentina Flybondi Líneas Aéreas ha iniciado el proceso de expansión internacional al mercado regional hacia Brasil en un momento delicado en sus operaciones. Con la crisis argentina y la devaluación del Peso Argentino (AR$), la compañía tuvo que congelar su plan de expansión doméstica para mejorar sus resultados económicos iniciando la etapa de rutas internacionales.
El CEO de la aerolínea Flybondi, Sebastián Pereira expresó: «Brasil siempre ha estado en nuestros planes, pero la verdad es que algunas rutas aquí (dentro de Argentina) no han dado el resultado que esperábamos. En lugar de seguir apostando en estas rutas, lanzamos aviones para volar a Brasil». El Presidente de la low cost también dijo que Argentina es muy importante para la estrategia de la empresa, como así la diversificación.
Sebastián Pereira tiene una trayectoria en el campo de la aeronáutica al pasar por Latam Airlines en Brasil. Ha estudiado el mercado para vuelos de Flybondi hacia ciudades como Florianópolis, Porto Alegre y São Paulo. Por ahora, la compañía anunció solo la ruta Río de Janeiro-Buenos Aires, que se abre en Octubre 2019 con tres vuelos semanales. Además es potencial para Flybondi el inicio de frecuencias hacia Florianópolis, con una estima para sus operaciones hacia Diciembre 2019 o São Paulo para volar para 2020.

Progreso de Flybondi
Flybondi inició sus operaciones en Argentina en Enero 2018 y en la actualidad cuenta con una flota de cinco aviones Boeing 737-800 Next Generation. El objetivo era llegar a diez para fines de este año, pero la recesión y la devaluación del peso retrasaron los planes. La compañía no logró alcanzar un equilibrio entre ingresos y gastos. El CEO de Flybondi expresó: «Las expectativas de los inversionistas se han pospuesto, pero aún están cómodos con los resultados, considerando el contexto en Argentina, y estamos muy cerca de un punto de equilibrio».
Tintes políticos
La compañía ahora está esperando el resultado de las elecciones presidenciales programadas para Octubre 2019 para determinar si agregará un sexto avión a la flota. «Estamos evaluando y negociando el precio, pero aún no hemos definido el mejor momento para incorporarlo. Esperemos, al menos, que las elecciones decidan».
