AW-Icon AW001

An Embraer E190-100AR with an LV-CDZ record of the Argentine regional airline Austral Líneas  Aéreas has been hit by an unmanned aircraft (drone) on December 22, 2018. This follows from the studies established by the Aviation Accident Investigation Board Civil (JIAAC) of Argentina of a chemical analysis carried out by the investigating authority. The incident took place in the approach area to Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires. The chemical analysis of the impact footprints has convinced Argentine researchers that an unmanned aerial vehicle collided with an Embraer E190-100AR shortly before beginning its final approach to Aeroparque.

The Argentine investigation authority JIAAC has reported that the E190-100AR of Austral Airlines, which operated the Rosario-Buenos Aires route on December 22, 2018, hit a foreign object at 4,080 feet, about 20 nm (nautical miles) northwest of the Jorge Newbery Airport, landing safely.

The examination of the impact region, in the fuselage, found an oily substance similar to a gel, as well as fibers. The swab samples were analyzed by a metallurgical laboratory at the National University of La Plata, which determined that they mainly contained carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen. These results suggested that the material was carbon fiber, while the oily substance appeared to contain organic compounds known to be present in the batteries. «According to the results of the analyzed material, it was confirmed that the object that hit the Embraer E190 was an unmanned aerial vehicle», says JIAAC.

While the researchers combed the area where the drone had probably crashed, depending on the height and speed of the plane, as well as the wind direction, no remains were found. «The remains of the [drone] could have provided important information for the investigation», says JIAAC, which provides data on its mass, performance, and operator. But according to data from a study by the European Union Air Safety Agency, the drone was probably in the medium or large category.

The drone had been flying at night over a populated area within the control zone of Jorge Newbery Airport, near the final approach route to Runway 13. The regulations prohibit the operation of drones in controlled airspace without authorization. Special, notes the investigation. But he says he could not determine if the drone complied with the rules. None of the 75 occupants of the E190-100AR was injured. The information of the cockpit voice recorder and flight data allowed the consultation to establish the position and height of the aircraft at the time of the collision. AW-Icon AW002

Spirit AirlinesSpirit incorporates new seats

Spirit Airlines presentation of new interiors in Airbus A320NAO

Spirit Airlines has incorporated a new image of interiors with new seats, new applications, improved operations, and an updated cabin introducing improvements for its passengers to continue flying with the American low-cost airline.

The South Florida-based airline introduced the first aircraft, an Airbus A320NEO with registration number N920NK, with its new seats and cockpit at an event in the Spirit’s Detroit (DTW) hangar on Tuesday 17/12.

New interior design

AW-700856.jpgThe cabin highlights Spirit’s striking black and yellow color palette, up to the seams in the seats, while adding what the airline executives promote as usable legroom in order to make flying more comfortable. «This really is a new Spirit», Lania Rittenhouse, Vice President of Flight Experience at Spirit Airlines, told reporters aboard the first plane. The new design was presented in September 2019,

The new seats have a 28-inch incline, but effectively have more usable space by moving the literature pocket to the top of the seat back and adding contour to the seat shell. The seats also have a thicker padding, more lumbar support, and tables with larger trays than the previous seats.

The Spirit’s interior cabin still features two rows of its Big Front Seat in a 2-2 design, with the rest of the cabin is a 3-3 design. A notable feature of the new accessories is a wider 18-inch center seat, compared to 17 inches for the aisle and window seats. The new cabin does not have power outlets. Rittenhouse told TPG that Spirit sought to install them but chose not to do so until he can develop a business case for an amenity that doesn’t add costs to travelers. The new product on board is part of a broader set of customer-focused investments in Spirit.

Other investments aimed at passengers include improved operational reliability, a new application, eventually Wi-Fi in flight and a new loyalty program. The airline has also increased the training of its crews and is building a new headquarters near the Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL).

«We are on a mission to build customer loyalty right now», said Benjamin Lewis, Senior Director of Commercial and Operational Analysis at Spirit, in Detroit. All investments are intended to engender that loyalty while maintaining the low-cost spirit of the operator, he added.

Fleet plan

The first Spirit Airlines Airbus A320NEO with the new cabin entered service on December 13, 2019, on a flight between Detroit and New Orleans (MSY). The airline’s second plane with the product will be delivered by Airbus on December 19, 2019, Spirit executives said. The carrier plans to have 90 aircraft equipped with the updated cabin in two years, including 48 new A320NEO deliveries and modifications of 40 aircraft already in its fleet. Spirit Airlines will have 145 A320 family aircraft in its fleet at the end of September 2020, according to its latest fleet plan. AW-Icon AW002

AW-Icon AW001

Sun Country Airlines, a small leisure airline based in Minneapolis, United States will begin to fly a fleet of ten Boeing 737-800CF, converted freighters. The new association will be incorporated in the second quarter of 2020 (2Q2020) as part of a plan that Amazon announced in early 2019 to expand Amazon Air with narrowbodies, the parcel transport company has communicated on Tuesday 17/12.

Amazon has been expanding its Amazon Air unit, which currently has partnerships with Atlas Air and ATSG freight airlines to fly its packages. Amazon has purchase orders for minority stakes in both companies and has brought more logistics operations internally. In June 2019, FedEx said it would no longer provide express shipments for Amazon.

Sun Country Airlines, owned by private equity firm Apollo Global Management, will use the business to help level the seasonality of free flight, which increases in the first quarter when vacationers head south, said CEO Jude Bricker. Those seasonal fluctuations are among «the main challenges we have with the growth of our business», said Bricker, adding that Amazon’s demand peaks in the fourth quarter, before the airline’s peak demand period.

The deal was finalized last week, but Bricker said he first approached Amazon about a year ago to try to sell the company a used, non-functioning aircraft. Then, Amazon in early 2019 returned to Sun Country on a charging agreement. Sun Country will add 150 pilot jobs in the next 18 months, bringing its total to 500, to keep up with the additional flight Amazon will require. AW-Icon AW002

Boeing avanza primer vuelo 777-9

AW-Boeing 777-9_70009.jpgAW | 2019 12 17 23:37 | INDUSTRY

AW-Icon AW001

Boeing-Logo.svgThe Boeing 777-9 moves towards the first flight in January 2020

The Boeing 777-9 is moving towards its first flight by January 2020. The new 777 variant has suffered several delays in poduction for six years, but the good news comes to fruition after a unique year for the American builder.

Boeing 777-9 engine test

In May 2019, the tests found durability problems with the stator blades in the second stage of the GE9X 777-9 high-pressure compressor, which had predicted that the difficulties in the 777 line were coming out. The stator vanes are designed to decrease air flow and increase pressure. But when GE9X engines were tested in early 2019, the exhaust temperature exceeded the design limits and the stator vanes deteriorated faster than expected.

The inaugural flight for June 2019 for the Boeing 777-9 was delayed and General Electric (GE) removed the engines. The improved engines were returned to Boeing in October 2019. In addition to solving the problem of the stator vane, GE made some additional design modifications to improve the GE9X engine.

A report from Tuesday, December 17, 2019, confirms that the improved GE9X engines are being installed on 777-9 aircraft at Paine Field Airport in Everett, Washington (WA). “We continue to progress in our pre-flight tests, focusing on final systems, propulsion and airplane level tests. In the static airplane test results, our detailed analysis of the data is progressing well. What we have seen to date reinforces our previous assessment that this will not have a significant impact on the design or our preparations for the first flight. The GE9X engine remains the rhythm element while we work towards the first flight. GE, our engine supplier, has made good progress to address durability challenges. GE has installed modification components in the certification test engines, and the tests have been restarted», says Boeing.

AW-777-9X.jpgBoeing 777-9 towards 1st flight

Boeing says that good progress is now being made in 777-9. Projections for the first flight of 777-9 would take place in early 2020. Boeing declined to be more specific than that. But they said, depending on a variety of factors, that they would appreciate any improvement in that timeline.

Boeing expects the first 777-9 aircraft to be delivered in 2021. With orders of around 309 orders for 777X, the initial orders date back to 2013. The 777X will come in two variations, 777-8 and 777-9. The colossal Boeing has lost competitiveness against Airbus last week when Qantas Airways chose to go with the A350-1000 for its Project Sunrise aircraft. But at least nine airlines are taking the 777X. For Boeing, there is a strong preference for 777-9 among its customers. The 777-9 has the potential to become a true globetrotter aircraft with a range of 15,000 kilometers and, depending on how the airlines choose to configure the plane, the potential to transport up to 426 passengers. Boeing also says the 777X will offer 10% less fuel consumption and emissions and 10% less operating costs than comparable Airbus airplanes.

Despite the problems and delays that afflict the Boeing 777X, the plane has enough points of sale to see a group of premium long-distance airlines such as Etihad, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Singapore and ANA line up to take it. Boeing remains confident that the first delivery of the Boeing 777-9 will be in 2021. AW-Icon AW002

Estrategia equivocada de Boeing

AW-Boeing_737_MAX_1.jpgAW | 2019 12 17 22:09 | INDUSTRY

Boeing-Company-LogoLa estrategia equivocada de The Boeing Company siembra una perspectiva sombría

AW-Icon_Boeing 737 MAX

AW-Icon AW001

Resultado de imagen para Boeing 737 MAXThe wrong strategy of Boeing 737 MAX

Boeing-Logo.svg100_737MAX8.pngThe wrong strategy of The Boeing Company sows a bleak perspective

In March 2019 a Boeing 737-8 MAX plane crashed in the Republic of Ethiopia, just six months after a similar accident in Indonesia. The two accidents have revealed a failure in the Flight Control System known as the MCAS of the Boeing 737 MAX, putting the Boeing aviation industry in crisis. Airlines rely on the delivery of thousands of MAX aircraft over the next decade or so. The Boeing Company was expected to represent a large part of its future MAX earnings. The firm is one of the largest exporters in the United States and at least one million people work for it or for its suppliers.

Since March 2019, Boeing’s response has been a mixture of remorse, evasion and arrogance, as it has bet that it can quickly recover 737 MAX and its businesses. On December 16, 2019, that strategy was exhausted when the company announced that it would suspend the production of the 737 MAX line.

Extending 737 MAX line problems

The Boeing 737 MAX crisis began in March 2019, after the second of two fatal accidents that killed a total of 346 people. Since the second plane crash of the Ethiopian Airlines flight ET-302, the crisis continues over time. Boeing promised that it would be solved in the coming weeks of the second fatal accident. Promises after promises have been left behind, delaying the departure of their grounding.

Last week (9-15/12/2019), Boeing insisted that it could get approval for the plane to fly again later this year. Then, Administrator Stephen Dickson of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said there were too many steps to complete to grant an approval until sometime in 2020. That prompted Boeing to announce on Monday, December 16, 2019 that the company would temporarily suspend production of the 737 MAX assembly line, as of the next Enro 2020, for an indeterminate period of time. While airplanes may be in the air before, analysts estimate that it could be fine in 2022, perhaps even in 2023, before Boeing can leave its 737 MAX problems behind; but there is nothing specifically proven. The company was wrong at the time, and now it is not known when the 737 MAX aircraft will fly again.

737 MAX return

Analysts say it is difficult to come up with an estimate of when the Boeing 737 MAX could get approval to fly again, due to the lack of details from Boeing or the FAA. All the agency and the company will say is that they are working to make sure the plane is completely safe. «You get small pieces of information. I would say that in mid-February it is an assumption, but it could be March [2020]. It is quite difficult to say that it will be an X or Y date», said Cai von Rumohr, an aerospace analyst at Cowen. Ronald Epstein, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Analyst, said he is now awaiting approval around March 1, 2020, but could see it until May 2020.

Resultado de imagen para Boeing 737 MAXBoeing continued to build

Boeing continued to build the aircraft from the ground connection, despite not being able to deliver them to customers. That left the company unable to get most of the money for sales, because airline customers pay most of what is due at the time of delivery. How much time does Boeing have to deliver the planes it has built? The company has about 400 finished airplanes stationed in the state of Washington and Texas awaiting approval to fly in commercial service. Boeing says it expects it to be at least 2021 before it can deliver the order book to customers, but analysts believe it could be extended until at least mid-2022, depending on when the company starts building the planes again. Part of that backup is because airlines cannot accept the immediate delivery of all the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft that they have built for airlines that need time to integrate the aircraft into their fleets. The aircraft delivery process will take a long time, especially since the FAA will now certify each aircraft individually. In the past, Boeing was allowed to sign on airplanes while leaving the assembly line. «There are many planes to deliver. You must make the payments before delivery. You have the FAA looking over your shoulder», von Rumohr said.

Work structure

Boeing has said it will continue to keep all its employees on the payroll. Von Rumohr said that this is partly an indication of the strength of the current labor market, with national unemployment at a minimum of 50 years, and even lower in the Seattle area with 3.3%. Boeing does not want to risk losing employees, it will need to restart production.

Supplier Line

With regard to Boeing suppliers, the outlook is more diffuse. Several said on Tuesday 17/12 that they are still waiting for the company’s guidance. Analysts believe that the company will have to provide some form of financial support to its suppliers to ensure that they are ready when production of the 737 MAX begins again. «We expect Boeing to support suppliers to preserve labor and production capabilities», JPMorgan Seth Seifman Analyst said in a note on Monday 12/16.

Production closing cost

Although Boeing will save money by closing production, it will incur expensive costs while its assembly lines are inactive. «We estimate that Boeing is spending almost US $ 2 billion per month at 737 MAX, but this does not drop to zero during the stop. For now, we assume that approximately 50% of supply chain costs remain, what which resulted in a monthly cash burn that is still greater than US$ 1 billion», said Seifman.

Boeing has already reserved US$ 5 million to offset reserves for grounding. But it is probably only a fraction of what the final cost will be. The company said it will receive a financial update when it reports the fourth quarter results. The grounding of the 737 MAX will ultimately cost the company about US$ 14 billion as established. The good news for Boeing is that you can probably afford this kind of financial blow. It has a healthy overall balance and access to the capital markets necessary to recover funds, and a better credit rating than its controls customers.

US economic coup

The closure of the Boeing 737 MAX production line is an important event that could eventually affect not only Boeing and the restrictions, but also the US economy, taking into account the aeronautical factory is the first exporter in the country. If the crisis continues until March 2020, we could recover approximately 0.5% of the US Gross Domestic Product (GDP). in the first quarter 2020, according to periods of several economists. The economic impact could be even greater if it begins in a place to layoffs. «Boeing’s decision to stop production of the 737 MAX aircraft could be a great success for the manufacturing sector just as prospects began to improve», wrote Michael Pearce, an American economist at Capital Economics.

The ramifications are likely to extend beyond the floor of the Boeing plant’s factory in Renton, Washington, in the aviation and manufacturing sectors. Ultimately, it could alter the country’s trade balance. Southwest Airlines, which had been relying on the Boeing 737 MAX to upgrade its fleet, rejected any hope of reinserting in its line for five weeks, until April 2020. American Airlines did the same last week. The actions of the main manufacturers that supply Boeing with critical elements of the 737 MAX, including Spirit AeroSystems and General Electric, fell in the first operations of Tuesday 17/12.

Resultado de imagen para Boeing 737 MAXBehind the scenes

Boeing’s decision is a recognition that it will take longer than the company expected for airplanes to return to the air. «If they had obtained information silently behind the scenes of the FAA that things looked good in January/February 2020, they would not have done this», said Richard Aboulafia, an aeronautical industry analyst at the Teal Group.

The Boeing 737 MAX is the most important aircraft of the American company. The FAA told Boeing last week that it had unrealistic expectations to put the plane back into service. Then Boeing has lost several estimates for a specific date of return of the plane to the air. The agency has not given a specific date to approve the return of 737 MAX, but FAA Administrator Stephen Dickson has said it will be done at the agency’s schedule, not Boeing’s. The FAA said on Monday 16/12 that it would not comment on Boeing’s commercial decisions and that it did not have an established time frame for when the work was completed to re-certify the critical commercial aircraft.

Richard Aboulafia said the closure would likely hamper the economy in the coming months and could worsen the nation’s trade balance. «This is the largest single-manufactured export product in the country», he said. Boeing said it would later determine when production could resume, based largely on the approval of government regulators. «We believe that this decision is less harmful to maintain the long-term production system and the health of the supply chain», the company said.

The long-term grounding has put Boeing in a difficult position, said Joe Schwieterman, a professor at DePaul University and an aviation expert. The closure of the plant will help Boeing conserve cash, but it will also disrupt the network of some 900 companies that supply parts for the MAX and other 737 models, Schwieterman said. The closure will cost the company economies of scale obtained by producing large numbers of aircraft. But by continuing to produce the planes on land, Boeing has been forced to store them on the ground as they depreciate because they cannot be delivered. “The airlines are certainly not going to pay for the planes until they are ready for the flight. So Boeing is really between a rock and a difficult place here”, said Schwieterman.

Boeing will probably face some difficult negotiations with suppliers on what level of payments it will provide during the production break. The company will want to avoid any layoff or closure by suppliers that prevents it from quickly restarting production once its safety is approved. Shares of French provider Safran fell 3.4% in Paris. «Boeing is really interested in identifying who needs payments to keep workers and capabilities in place for when the acceleration eventually occurs», Aboulafia said. Even before production stopped, the airlines delayed the dates for when they expected the 737 MAX to fly passengers. Last week, American Airlines eliminated 737 MAX from its schedule until April 7, 2020, a month later than previously announced. The Southwest Airlines pilots union also does not expect the 737 MAX to fly until at least April 2020.

Jeff Windau, Industrial Analyst at Edward Jones, said the 400 aircraft that Boeing had built but could not deliver were probably an important factor in the decision to stop production. This comes «both in consideration of storage space and the efficiency with which they can be delivered once the plane is ready to return to service», he said.

Boeing has made progress on some FAA requirements for 737 MAX to be back in service, Windau said, but still considers production disruption to be negative for the company. «The flight control system is complex and there are still unknowns at the time of the revisions and approvals of the regulator», Windau wrote. He also wrote that it could be difficult to restart an inactive factory once production increased again.

imagesBoeing Perspectives

Boeing is already having cash flow problems. In October 2020, the company reported that free cash flow went from US$ 4.1 billion a year ago to negative US$ 2.9 billion in the third quarter (3Q2019), worse than analysts expected. The Chicago company also faces nearly 150 claims of family members of accident victims, and has established a US$ 100 million fund to help families.

Meanwhile, the 737 MAX crisis has helped Boeing’s main competitor, Airbus Group, which experienced a 28% increase in deliveries during the first half of the year. Boeing deliveries fell 37%. Airbus declined to comment on Tuesday 17/12, but has said in the past that Boeing crashes have not affected its sales strategy. AW-Icon AW002

Boeing declara informe por 737 MAX

boeing-building.jpgAW | 2019 12 17 15:37 | INDUSTRY

Throughout the grounding of the 737 MAX, Boeing has continued to build new airplanes and there are now approximately 400 airplanes in storage. We have previously stated that we would continually evaluate our production plans should the MAX grounding continue longer than we expected. As a result of this ongoing evaluation, we have decided to prioritize the delivery of stored aircraft and temporarily suspend production on the 737 Program beginning next month.

Boeing declares report for 737 MAX

Boeing-Logo.svgBoeing statement on the production of 737 MAX

– Boeing suspends production of 737 MAX from January because the certification moves to 2020
– Reduced production allows prioritizing the delivery of stored aircraft
– No layoffs or licenses are expected at this time

Our main priority is to return the Boeing 737 MAX safely to the service. We know that the approval process for the return to service of the 737 MAX, and of determining the appropriate training requirements, must be extraordinarily thorough and robust, to ensure that our regulators, customers, and the general public have confidence in the updates of the 737 MAX. As we have said before, the FAA and the global regulatory authorities determine the schedule for certification and return to service. We remain fully committed to supporting this process. It is our duty to ensure that all requirements are met and all questions from our regulators are answered.

We believe that this decision is less harmful to maintain the long-term production system and the health of the supply chain. This decision is driven by a number of factors, including the extension of certification until 2020, uncertainty about the timing and conditions of return to service and global training approvals, and the importance of ensuring that we can prioritize aircraft delivery stored We will continue to evaluate our progress towards the milestones of the return to service and will make determinations on the resumption of production and deliveries accordingly.

During this time, it is our plan that affected employees will continue with work related to 737, or be temporarily assigned to other teams in Puget Sound. As we have done throughout the 737 MAX grounding, we will keep our customers, employees and supply chain in mind as we continue to evaluate the appropriate actions. This will include efforts to maintain the gains in the production system and the quality and health of the supply chain achieved in recent months.

We will provide financial information on the suspension of production in relation to our 4Q19 results report at the end of January 2020. Many factors could cause actual results to differ materially and negatively from these forward-looking statements, including the timing and conditions surrounding the return to service of the 737 MAX fleet, economic conditions in the United States and worldwide, general market conditions. and of the industry, since they can affect us or our clients, and our dependence on our commercial clients, our clients of the US government. and our suppliers, as well as the other important factors disclosed previously and from time to time in our presentations before the Securities and Exchange Commission. Any forward-looking statement speaks only as of the date it is made, and we do not assume the obligation to update or revise any forward-looking statements, whether as a result of new information, future events or others, except as required by law. Juan Manuel Gálvez Airport in Roatán, Bay Islands, in the Republic of Honduras will receive international certification as a safe airfield by the Honduran Civil Aviation Agency (AHAC) with the endorsement of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The airport will receive certification after the first direct flight of the Canadian WestJet Airlines airline between Toronto and Roatan, a new route that increases the importance of this island as a tourist hub of the Caribbean of Honduras.

The civil aviation terminal of Roatán will become the second to receive certification, after in April 2019 the Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport of San Pedro Sula received a similar distinction.

The certification, which led to a five-phase process, is a tool to ensure the safety, regularity, and efficiency of air operations. With the certification, various benefits will be generated, from the safety of the users, confidence on their part, investment of new airlines that want to operate in the country and with it more tourism and jobs, as well as better foreign exchange income is an important contribution to the family and national economy.

Changes in Aerolíneas new management

5a58bc7e982b98df55d194908ae21032Aerolíneas Argentinas starts a new stage with a reduction in management structure

The first changes in the new management by CEO Juan Pablo Ceriani in Aerolíneas Argentinas. The new President of the state company assumed Friday, 12/13 and has incorporated a reduction in the management structure of the airline. The separation of thirty managers and the review of the services that were hired in recent months.

The new President Juan Pablo Ceriani is not a new face within the company. He had joined Aerolíneas Argentinas at the hands of Axel Kicillof in 2009 as Head of Relations with the State and a year later replaced him in the position of Economic and Financial Manager. He has held the position of Vice President and Principal Director between 2013 and 2015.

The new restructuring of the management areas of the company and the disengagement of thirty managers have been the first steps of the changes that have been incorporated since the new management. of 2016 and that the idea is to return to a smaller structure, similar to that of 2015. The separations, they clarified, will be carried out through conciliatory agreements. Among the areas that were reduced in the direction of Institutional, which went from three management to two; and the Commercial area, which had two addresses (Commercial and Network Planning) and ten managers was reduced to one address and five managers. The Directorate of Operations Coordination, meanwhile, absorbs one more and disappears three managements, four fewer charges. Of the 12 managements that were in the Financial Administration and in the Supply and Logistics departments, only eight remained, according to company sources.

Last Friday, after a shareholders meeting, he assumed as new company president Pablo Ceriani. The reduction of management was among its first measures. Also the review of service contracts that were signed in recent months. For example, it was decided to cancel a contract to outsource customer service through social networks that had a value of AR$ 78 million annually and that had been signed a month ago. In the coming days, the new managers will be analyzing other similar contracts.

The decision to outsource that service had generated conflict with the company’s call center employees, who had started a strike. “Many of the employees were preparing to carry out this task and learned that they were finally going to do it from outside the company. It was found that among the main sources of tension with the unions was the division of tasks between what is done inside or outsourced outside the company”, said a source from the new administration.

Among the managers who will hold positions in the company from now on, there are several who participated in the previous management of Mariano Recalde. For example, Christian Landriscina, who had been fired in 2016 when he assumed the management of Cambiemos, will return to Industrial Materials and Operations Planning Manager. Fabian Lombardo, who will be in charge of the Commercial Area.

Aerolíneas & Unions

One of the points in favor of Juan P. Ceriani is the fluid dialogue he has with the unions. “He is a very good technician, with a low profile and very dialogist. But it all depends on the support you have and the guidelines of the new government’s commercial policy”, said a union leader of the sector, who recalled some friction during the presentation of the five-year plan for the airline during 2015 and the willingness of the then manager to solve it. “It will have to take over a company that they leave in a structurally very complicated situation, where there was a loss of fleet without making a renovation. Those are decisions that must be planned with a lot of time”, he added. The unions detail that the fleet for international flights was reduced from 15 to 10 aircraft during the last management.

Strengthen Aerolíneas

The brand new president of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Juan Pablo Ceriani, summoned the company’s employees to embark on a new stage with commitment and confidence and urged the workers to strengthen Aerolíneas and Austral together. He did it through a letter addressed to the workers, in which he said that it is an honor to return to occupy a place in the historical journey of this beloved company and recalled that he joined the company team in 2009 as Head of Relations with the State and in 2013 I assumed the role of director on the part of the State: «I know the company and I want it as you all, so I invite you to embark on this new stage with commitment and confidence that together we will strengthen Aerolíneas and Austral. The Aerolíneas Group is one of the most important and emblematic companies in the country, which implies, in addition to the pride of being part of it, the enormous responsibility of carrying out an efficient management that puts it back in the place of solidity and leadership of market that you must have, I know the effort that you all make years ago in the different sectors, I know the commitment of the operational and staff areas to meet the needs of the passengers and to make this company an airline that all Argentines can be proud of. This management will have as a priority the dialogue and the transversal view so that together we can face the challenges that we have ahead. Know that I came to contribute to the growth of Aerolíneas and Austral, and so that together we can take it to the top”, said Pablo Ceriani in the letter, through which he made his formal presentation before the members of the plant.
