AirBaltic despide último Bombardier 8-Q400
La aerolínea letona airBaltic anuncia que el 1 de Febrero de 2023 ha finalizado la programación de su línea Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 de su flota. Así, concluyó con éxito el proceso de re-entrega de su avión turbohélice Bombardier Q400 NextGen de regreso al arrendador regional Nordic Aviation Capital. La compañía airBaltic opera a partir de ahora una flota homogénea y unificada de Airbus A220-300 (39).
Martin Gauss, Presidente y CEO de airBaltic expresó: «El último vuelo de re-entrega marca el final oficial de nuestra etapa anterior de desarrollo. Q400, definitivamente, fue un avión de excelente rendimiento, que en ese momento nos ayudó a llegar a donde estamos hoy: volar la flota más eficiente y ecológica de Europa. Aunque un avión más pequeño permite más flexibilidad ocasionalmente, una flota de un solo tipo tiene ventajas significativas, tanto económicas como técnicas (mantenimiento), y también en términos de sostenibilidad y capacitación. El primer avión Bombardier Q400 NextGen se unió a airBaltic en 2010. A lo largo de los años, doce diferentes Bombardier Q400 NextGen han transportado a más de once millones de pasajeros en total y han realizado más de 222.000 vuelos en toda Europa.

The first Bombardier Q400 NextGen joined airBaltic in 2010. Over the years, twelve different Q400 NextGen bombards have transported more than eleven million passengers in total and have made more than 222,000 flights throughout Europe.
