Primer conversión E1-Jet a carguero

Embraer SA ha anunciado la primer conversión carguera del Programa E1-Jet P2F Passenger to Freight de un E190. La nueva variante E-Jet P2F es parte de un programa actual para conversión de aeronaves de la versión E1-Jet a aviones de carga. La primer unidad reconvertida saldrá bajo arrendamiento a la aerolínea Astral Aviation con sede en Kenia después de la conversión y certificación.

A finales de Octubre de 2022, NAC formalizó un acuerdo de principio firmado con Embraer en Mayo de 2022 para la conversión de diez aviones regionales E190/E195 en la variante E-Jet Passenger to Freight (P2F). Estos dispositivos tendrán la cartera propia de Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) y deberían entregarse a partir de 2024. Además de NAC, Embraer logró asegurar un segundo cliente no identificado que fue el primero en firmar definitivamente diez variantes E190/E195 E-Jet Passenger to Freight (P2F).

Programa E1-Jet P2F

Embraer anunció el nuevo programa de conversión en Marzo de 2022. El avión se convertirá con una puerta de carga delantera instalada en la cubierta principal. Después del refuerzo del piso, también se instalará un sistema de manejo de carga, así como una Barrera de Carga Rígida (RLB), una Barrera 9G con puerta de entrada, además, se incorporará un sistema de detección de humo en la bodega de carga que incluye extintores de Clase E e instalaciones para el transporte de sustancias peligrosas. El E190F tiene una carga útil de 10.700 kg; un E195F puede transportar hasta 12.300 kg de carga.

Según Embraer, las conversiones E-Jet P2F tendrán un cincuenta por ciento más de capacidad de volumen, tres veces el rango de turbohélices y hasta un treinta por ciento menos de costos operativos que los cuerpos estrechos. Los Embraers tienen que llenar el vacío existente entre los turbohélices ATR 72 más pequeños, por un lado, y los Boeing 737-300SF más grandes, por el otro.

E1-Jet P2F program

The E190F has a useful load of 10,700 kg; An E195F can transport up to 12,300 kg of load.

According to Embraer, E-Jet P2F conversions will have fifty percent more volume capacity, three times the range of turboprop and up to thirty percent less operating costs than narrow bodies. Embraers have to fill the empty between the smallest ATR 72 turbocharges, on the one hand, and the Boeing 737-300SF larger, on the other.
