China Airlines finaliza pedido histórico aeronaves Dreamliners

The Boeing Company y China Airlines anunciaron el día Miércoles 28/09 que han finalizado un pedido de hasta veinticuatro (24) Boeing 787 Dreamliner, buscando la aerolínea una fuerte inversión en el fuselaje ancho de bajo consumo de combustible para expandir las operaciones de pasajeros y carga. El acuerdo incluye un pedido en firme de dieciséis unidades Boeing 787-9 (16) de mayor alcance con opciones para ocho (8) aviones adicionales, una compra histórica que permitirá a la aerolínea cumplir con sus objetivos de sostenibilidad a largo plazo.
«Estamos entusiasmados de introducir el 787-9 Dreamliner en nuestras operaciones a medida que continuamos actualizando nuestra flota con aviones más modernos y de bajo consumo de combustible. El modelo más vendido de la familia Dreamliner, el 787-9, permitirá a China Airlines operar con el costo de viaje más bajo entre los aviones de fuselaje ancho de tamaño mediano, al tiempo que reducirá el uso de combustible y las emisiones hasta en un 25% en comparación con los aviones que reemplaza. Desde que entró en servicio en 2011, la eficiencia de combustible, la flexibilidad y el alcance de la familia 787 han permitido a las aerolíneas abrir más de 325 nuevas rutas sin escalas y reducir las emisiones de carbono en 80 mil millones de libras.

The Boeing Company and China Airlines announced on Wednesday 09/28 that they have finalized an order for up to twenty-four (24) Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the airline seeking a strong investment in the fuel-efficient widebody to expand passenger operations and burden. The deal includes a firm order for sixteen (16) longer-range Boeing 787-9s with options for an additional eight (8) aircraft, a landmark purchase that will enable the airline to meet its long-term sustainability goals.

The best-selling model in the Dreamliner family, the 787-9, will allow China Airlines to operate with the lowest cost of travel among mid-size wide-body aircraft, while reducing fuel use and emissions by up to 25% compared to the planes it replaces. Since it entered service in 2011, the 787 family’s fuel efficiency, flexibility and range have enabled airlines to open more than 325 new nonstop routes and reduce carbon emissions by 80 billion pounds.
