Wingo suma más conexiones tres nuevos destinos

La aerolínea colombiana Wingo, asociada a Copa Airlines, anunció esta semana la ampliación de sus conexiones aéreas a tres destinos del Caribe en esta etapa de turismo veraniego. La compañía priorizará los destinos del Caribe con aumento de sus rutas aéreas a Aruba, Cancún, México y República Dominicana. Incorporará dos rutas nacionales y otras a nivel global. En la conexión Bogotá—Aruba se aumentará la capacidad en más de un 40%. También Cancún, con una oferta de más de 10.000 asientos, desde Medellín y Sevilla. El incremento a Santo Domingo y Punta Cana, balneario por excelencia de República Dominicana, crecerá en más de 18.000 asientos.

Wingo ofrecerá nuevos vuelos a Ecuador y Costa Rica con rutas adicionales hacia San José, Quito y Guayaquil desde Bogotá. También incrementará las conexiones hacia San José, a Quito y la propia ciudad de Guayaquil.

Wingo es una aerolínea de bajo costo que opera una flota de ocho aviones B737-800 (8) con una disponibilidad de 186 asientos en clase Economy. Fue creada en 2016 por Copa Airlines para reemplazar a Copa Airlines Colombia, que no era rentable en ese territorio. Tiene su sede en Bogotá y su red de servicios alcanza México, el Caribe como así también hacia el Sur hasta Perú. Wingo presenta varias tarifas para sus clientes: Go Basic, Go Plus y Go Premium, este último le brinda espacio adicional para las piernas en la parte delantera de la cabina, entre otros privilegios.

The Colombian airline Wingo, associated with Copa Airlines, announced this week the expansion of its air connections to three Caribbean destinations in this stage of summer tourism. Aeroparque logró continuar operando al 95% a pesar de la niebla

El ascenso a Categoría II (CAT II) logrado producto de la mega obra realizada, le permitió al Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery/AEP realizar en las últimas 48 horas más de 140 operaciones, transportando a más de 20.000 pasajeros a pesar de la visibilidad reducida. Desde este Lunes 06/06 las condiciones meteorológicas han provocado algunas demoras, cancelaciones y reprogramaciones de vuelos debido a la baja visibilidad por la niebla. Sin embargo, en el Aeroparque se pudo seguir operando al 95% minimizando la afectación de los vuelos gracias a las obras de modernización realizadas por todos los organismos del sector aeronáutico junto al Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación.

A partir del 21 de Abril de 2022 el aeropuerto metropolitano tiene la capacidad de operar en categoría CAT II, lo que le permite seguir brindando servicios con seguridad y precisión aun con una visibilidad mínima de 300 metros. Antes de esta obra de infraestructura, con estas condiciones meteorológicas el aeropuerto hubiera permanecido cerrado ya que la visibilidad mínima requerida era de 700 metros.

En las últimas 48 horas gracias a esta modernización pudieron realizarse más de 140 operaciones en CAT II, en las que se transportaron más de 20.000 pasajeros. Sin estos trabajos, estas operaciones aéreas no hubieran podido llevarse a cabo. Al respecto, Gabriela Logatto, Presidenta de la Empresa Argentina de Navegación Aérea (EANA) se expresó sobre los beneficios de poder operar en CAT II: “Nosotros trabajamos con un pronóstico meteorológico que nos va dando la visibilidad y la previsibilidad que trasladamos a las líneas aéreas, con las cuales trabajamos de manera colaborativa, para poder prever y tener el menor impacto hacia el usuario, que es quien sufre las demoras. Aeroparque pudo seguir operando aún con una densa niebla y hace un año no lo hubiese podido hacer”.

En síntesis, la Categoría II del Aeroparque es el resultado del esfuerzo combinado de todo el sistema aeroportuario en pro de la continuidad de los vuelos aún en condiciones que, tal como ocurría en el pasado, afectaron la operación del aeropuerto. Significa también un gran avance en la calidad de servicio, no solo para quienes viajan desde y hacia la Ciudad de Buenos Aires o hagan conexiones en Aeroparque, sino que, además, representa un beneficio en la operación de los vuelos en general.

It also means a great advance in the quality of service, not only for those who travel to and from the City of Buenos Aires or make connections at Aeroparque, but also represents a benefit in the operation of flights in general.
