The Toronto routes will be operated with wide-range Airbus A321LR aircraft on transatlantic routes on end-to-end nonstop flights. The configuration of the aircraft is three classes with a total of 157 seats: in SAS Business (22), SAS Plus (12) and SAS Go (123) which is the Economy class. The seats are specially chosen for the A321LR to optimize comfort in all three classes of travel. The seats in SAS Business are fully flat seat beds and there are different ambient light scenarios in the cabins as well as high-speed Wi-Fi. Each seat is equipped with IFE, PC-power and/or high-power USB screens. The reduced noise level inside the cabin will further enhance the travel experience on board. The A321LR is part of SAS’ ongoing fleet renewal and will reduce climate-affecting emissions compared to previous generations of similar aircraft.

The frequencies between Europe to Toronto and vice versa correspond to: Copenhagen—Toronto: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; Toronto—Copenhagen: Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Stockholm—Toronto: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; Toronto—Stockholm: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

In the upcoming northern summer season, SAS Airlines will fly to a total of seven destinations in the United States and Canada: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington DC and Toronto.

The Boeing Company ha comunicado que no lanzará un nuevo avión en el corto plazo para abordar el creciente liderazgo de ventas de Airbus Group SE en el mercado de fuselaje estrecho, dijo el Presidente Ejecutivo David Calhoun. When that happens, then we design the next plane. We don’t do it the other way around».

Ed Pierson, a Production Manager there at the time, became so concerned about the danger posed that he emailed the executive in charge of Renton stating that for the first time in his life he was «hesitating to put my family on a Boeing plane». Ed Pierson was ignored then. Now, Boeing may have been paying attention and wants to avoid similar chaos this time.

Aerolíneas Argentinas ha anunciado nuevos servicios regionales. Estados Unidos elimina restricciones de vuelos a Cuba

El Gobierno de Estados Unidos eliminó las restricciones de vuelos a Cuba. La medida fue impuesta por el Gobierno de Donald Trump y a raíz de la crisis del Coronavirus, entre 2019 y 2020. Ahora, el Departamento de Transporte de Estados Unidos (DOT) ha quitado este Miércoles 01/06 las restricciones de vuelos hacia la isla caribeña significando que las aerolíneas estadounidenses podrán volar a otros destinos en Cuba y no solamente hacia La Habana. Ante la solicitud del Secretario de Estado, Antony Blinken, el DOT emitió la orden de apertura de vuelos hacia varios destinos de la isla. Según declaró el funcionario estadounidense esta medida se toma “en apoyo al pueblo cubano y por los intereses de política exterior de Estados Unidos. Los servicios aéreos programados y los fletados entre aeropuertos de Estados Unidos y Cuba pueden reanudarse de manera inmediata”. El DOT agrega que “descarta como debatibles las solicitudes pendientes de exenciones de emergencia y de la asignación de vuelos chárter públicos de La Habana”.

Durante el gobierno de Donald Trump se puso límite a los vuelos chárter a Cuba, solo 3600 al año. Posteriormente, cancelaron los vuelos chárters privados. Además de que estos solo se podían realizar al aeropuerto de La Habana. Ahora, las aerolíneas estadounidenses podrán realizar vuelos con destino a los aeropuertos de Matanzas, Camagüey, Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo, Cienfuegos, Manzanillo y Santiago de Cuba. Las aerolíneas norteamericanas tienen sus vuelos a máxima capacidad y algunas tienen escases de empleados, no se sabe cuántos vuelos a la isla cubana podrán realizarse.
