American Airlines y Qatar Airways amplían su alianza estratégica
American Airlines y Qatar Airways están ampliando su alianza estratégica con un nuevo acuerdo de código compartido, que permite a los clientes de American reservar viajes en vuelos de Qatar Airways a través de Doha hacia y desde 16 nuevos países.

Este código compartido ampliado se produce cuando American lanza un nuevo servicio el 4 de junio desde el Aeropuerto Internacional John F. Kennedy/JFK de Nueva York hasta el Aeropuerto Internacional Hamad/DOH de Doha, recientemente votado como el Mejor Aeropuerto del Mundo. El nuevo servicio establece a American como la única aerolínea estadounidense que sirve a la región del Golfo, conectando sin problemas a través de Doha con Qatar Airways.

American Airlines and Qatar Airways are expanding their strategic alliance with a new codeshare agreement, which enables American customers to book travel on Qatar Airways flights through Doha to and from 16 new countries.
Pending the necessary government codeshare approvals, travelers will be able to book travel beyond Qatar to their final destinations in Ethiopia, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This expanded codeshare comes as American launches new service on June 4 from New York’s John F. Kennedy/JFK International Airport to Doha’s Hamad/DOH International Airport, recently voted the World’s Best Airport. The new service establishes American as the only US airline serving the Gulf region, connecting seamlessly through Doha with Qatar Airways.
“Our global partnerships extend American’s comprehensive network, providing access to numerous destinations for our travel-ready customers around the world. We are excited to deepen our strategic alliance with Qatar Airways in conjunction with the launch of our new service between New York and Doha, giving American customers more choice and convenient access to the Middle East and beyond”, said American CEO Robert Isom.
The strategic alliance includes Qatar Airways, the leading airline in the Middle East in terms of frequencies and destinations and the six-time winner of the Skytrax ‘World’s Best Airline’ award, placing its code on thousands of domestic American flights, strengthening connectivity and creating new travel options for customers. American’s network allows connections to more than 250 cities in North America and Qatar Airways’ extensive network of more than 85 relevant destinations allows customers to access gateways in the Middle East, East Africa, South Asia and the Southeast Asian. The airlines, both members of the alliance, are paving the way for more interconnected travel within the alliance and globally.
