JetSmart aterriza en Paraguay con vuelos ultra low cost

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), empresa matriz de Malaysia Airlines, ha anunciado el Lunes 15 de Agosto de 2022 la selección del Airbus A330NEO para el programa de renovación de la flota de fuselaje ancho de la aerolínea. Los acuerdos iniciales cubren la adquisición de veinte aviones A330-900 (20), de los cuales diez (10) se comprarán a Airbus y otros diez (10) se arrendarán a Avolon, con sede en Dublín, Irlanda.

El anuncio se realizó en un evento en Kuala Lumpur, capital de Malasia, al que asistieron el Director Ejecutivo de MAG, Izham Ismail, y el Director Comercial y Director Internacional de Airbus Group, Christian Scherer, quienes firmaron un Memorando de Entendimiento (MoU) para el pedido del nuevo avión l constructor europeo. En la ceremonia también se firmaron los acuerdos con el fabricante de motores Rolls-Royce y la compañía de leasing Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited.

Impulsado por los últimos motores Rolls-Royce Trent 7000, el A330NEO se unirá a la flota de seis A350-900 de largo alcance de la aerolínea y reemplazará gradualmente a sus veintiún aviones A330CEO. La aerolínea operará el A330NEO en su red que cubre Asia, el Pacífico y Oriente Medio. Malaysia Airlines configurará su flota A330NEO con un diseño premium con capacidad para 300 pasajeros en dos clases. El A330NEO es la versión de nueva generación del popular A330 de fuselaje ancho.
