Paramaribo, Surinam · La Surinaamse Luchtvaart Maatschappij, SLM, tiene esperanzas de que su competidor InselAir pueda recuperarse rápidamente y pueda reiniciar vuelos entre Curazao y Paramaribo. Eso deja conocer el director de SLM, Robbi Lachmising, al nuevo medio de Surinam Ware Tijd.

«En la aviación, cualquier desconfianza es un golpe al cliente de SLM. Por lo tanto los problemas que Insel Air sufre nunca animan en el campo de la seguridad,» dijo Lachmising al periódico Ware Tijd.

«La gente generalmente tiene miedo a volar. Si una empresa se enfrenta a problemas, los pasajeros pueden comenzar a preguntarse cómo con el MST, Caribbean Airlines o Jamaica Airlines es en términos de seguridad,» informa Lachmising.

InselAir informó a principios de esta semana sin saber si se ha perturbado gravemente las operaciones de vuelo. Hay tres MD-80 de la línea aérea antillana a tierra para las inspecciones. Por lo tanto tuvo que cancelar los vuelos más turbulentos que InselAir tiene por problemas financieros.

,,In de luchtvaart kan elk wantrouwen van de klant overwaaien naar de SLM. Daarom kunnen wij de problemen waarmee Insel Air kampt op het gebied van veiligheid nooit toejuichen», aldus Lachmising tegenover de Ware Tijd.

,,Mensen zijn over het algemeen bang om te vliegen. Als één maatschappij met problemen kampt, kunnen passagiers zich beginnen af te vragen hoe het dan met de SLM, Caribbean Airlines of Jamaican Airlines zit qua veiligheid», meldt Lachmising.

InselAir meldde eerder deze week niet te weten wanneer het de ernstig verstoorde vliegoperatie weer op order heeft. Er staan drie MD-80’s van de Antilliaanse luchtvaartmaatschappij aan de grond voor inspecties. Daardoor heeft het in financiële problemen verkerende InselAir veel vluchten moeten schrappen. A\W
