The Boeing Co. y la aerolínea con sede en Oslo, Norwegian Air, han firmado un pedido de 19 aviones Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner valorado en más de 5.000 millones de dólares ( unos 4.752 millones de euros).

Con esta operación, que incluye opciones de compra de 10 aparatos adicionales, la aerolínea noruega ampliará su flota total hasta cerca de 40 unidades en los próximos años:

“Lanzaremos este verano los nuevos aviones Boeing; y con ellos, podremos abaratar, increíblemente, los vuelos a Estados Unidos”, ha asegurado Bjørn Kjos, Consejero Delegado de Norwegian.

La nueva compra de aparatos permitirá la apertura de nuevas rutas a los consumidores y más comodidad. Con un fuselaje 6 metros más largo que el el 787-8, el nuevo modelo acogerá a un 20% más de pasajeros y un 23% más de carga, manteniendo una reducción del 20% tanto en consumo de combustible como en emisiones.

Norwegian announces the largest order in Europe for Boeing aircraft

The Boeing Co. and the Oslo-based airline, Norwegian Air, have signed an order for 19 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft valued at more than 5 billion dollars (about 4,752 million euros).

With this operation, which includes purchase options of 10 additional aircraft, the Norwegian airline will expand its total fleet to about 40 units in the coming years:

«We will launch this summer the new Boeing aircraft; And with them, we can incredibly cheapen the flights to the United States,» said Bjørn Kjos, CEO of Norwegian.

The new purchase of devices will allow the opening of new routes to consumers and more comfort. With a fuselage 6 meters longer than the 787-8, the new model will accommodate 20% more passengers and 23% more cargo, maintaining a reduction of 20% in both fuel consumption and emissions. A\W
