Madagascar Airlines espera recibir primer E190-E2 Jet
Madagascar Airlines ha anunciado la incorporación de Embraer E190-E2 jet como parte de su actualización de flota para fines de Junio de 2023. En Diciembre de 2022, la aerolínea africana firmó un acuerdo para arrendar tres aviones E190-E2 de lessor estadounidense Azorra Aviation, con entregas a partir de este año y hasta 2024. Se espera que el avión sirva rutas nacionales y archipiélagos cercanos como Mauricio. La llegada del avión en esa fecha fue anunciada recientemente por representantes del Ministerio de Transporte de Madagascar.
Tras una gira por países africanos, Embraer tomó el E190-E2 para una presentación en Antananarivo, la capital de Madagascar, en Marzo 2022, permitiendo acceder un acuerdo para adquirir este tipo de aeronaves regionales para actualizar la flota de la aerolínea malgache.
En 2022, la compañía retiró su único Boeing 737-800 de la flota y desde entonces solo ha estado trabajando con dos ATR 72-500 (2) entregados en 2005 y un ATR 72-600 (1) en 2015 como parte de sus capacidades reducidas post-pandemia.

Madagascar Airlines expects to receive first E190-E2 Jet
Madagascar Airlines has announced the incorporation of Embraer E190-E2 Jet as part of its fleet update by the end of June 2023. In December 2022, the African airline signed an agreement to lease three E190-E2 aircraft of US Lessor Azorra Aviation, with deliveries from this year and until 2024. The plane is expected to serve national routes and nearby archipelagos such as Mauricio. The arrival of the plane on that date was recently announced by representatives of the Ministry of Transportation of Madagascar.
After a tour of African countries, Embraer took the E190-E2 for a presentation in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, in March 2022, allowing access to an agreement to acquire this type of regional aircraft to update the fleet of the Malgache airline.
In 2022, the company withdrew its only Boeing 737-800 from the fleet and since then it has only been working with two ATR 72-500 (2) delivered in 2005 and an ATR 72-600 (1) in 2015 as part of its capabilities reduced post-pandemic.
