Gobierno Azores abre ofertas participación mayoritaria
El Gobierno de la Región Autónoma de Azores de Portugal anunció el Jueves 23/03 la apertura de la licitación para la privatización de Azores Airlines, una subsidiaria del Grupo SATA, con partes interesadas que tienen noventa (90) días para presentar propuestas, en un proceso que se espera que sea concluido entre Septiembre u Octubre 2023.
El Secretario de Finanzas de las Azores, Duarte Freitas, ha hecho oficial el anuncio que tendrá un período de noventa días para la presentación de propuestas. El Secretario expresó en una conferencia de prensa celebrada en la sede de la Secretaría de Finanzas en Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, acompañado por Berta Cabral Secretaria Regional de Turismo, Mobilidad e Infraestructuras y por Luís Rodrigues, Presidente de Sata Holding. El jurado que evaluará las ofertas será presidido por Augusto Mateus, José Alves y Rui Medeiros. El plazo para presentación de ofertas es hasta el 20 de Junio de 2023.
Acerca de las preocupaciones expresadas por los empleados de SATA sobre las especificaciones que prohíbe a cualquier nuevo propietario hacer despidos durante treinta meses, el Secretario Regional recordó que el proceso de diálogo ha estado avanzando con los sindicatos. Respecto al futuro de los pasivos de la aerolínea, la variable de reestructuración de deuda dependerá de lo que los compradores potenciales estén dispuestos a pagar por la compañía, y que esta es una situación que se resolverá durante las negociaciones con el jurado y las posibles partes interesadas.
En Junio 2022, la Comisión Europea (CE) aprobó la ayuda estatal para respaldar la reestructuración del grupo SATA de € 453.25 millones/US$ 487.69 millones en préstamos y garantías estatales, siempre que esto se compensara con reformas como una reorganización de la estructura y la venta accionaria mayoritaria en Azores Airlines, la compañía grupal responsable de conexiones fuera del archipiélago. El 07/03 el Gobierno de Azores reveló que las especificaciones para la privatización de las aerolíneas de Azores proporcionan una venta de un mínimo del 51% y un máximo del 85% del capital social de la compañía.

Azores Government opens major participation offers
