La aerolínea regional noruega Widerøe será la primera que pondrá en servicio la segunda generación de los Embraer E190-E2, así lo ha confirmado la Embraer
La primera mitad de 2018 es la fecha anunciada por Embraer para la entrada en servicio de los nuevos E2, y que será la aerolínea regional Wideroe el primer unuario que reciba la nueva generación de la familia Embraer E170/190. El E190-E2, el primero de los modelos que la compone, es un avión de nueva generación de la industria brasilera, que dentro de los grandes cambios con respecto a su modelo antecesor, figuran una nueva planta motriz y nuevas puntas alares (raked stip).
La línea aérea noruega Widerøe ha encomendado 3 E190-E2 en firme y cuenta con derechos de compra (opciones) por otros doce aviones. El monto de la transacción junto con las opciones en pedidos en firme, son de U$s 873 millones de dólares a precio de catálogo.
La compañía noruega Widerøe configurará sus E190-E2 con 114 asientos en clase única, introduciendo sus primeros «E2» a partir del 1Q2018.
Embraer ha recibido órdenes por 275 Embraer E2, más opciones, cartas de intención y derechos de compra en otros 415 aviones.
