La aerolínea de Surinam SLM Airlines incorpora segundo Boeing 737-700 en ruta a Curaçao
El nuevo Boeing 737-700 del SLM Airlines con vuelo PY729 efectuó su vuelo inaugural ayer en el Aeropuerto Internacional Johan Adolf Pengel hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional Hato de Curaçao, Antillas Neerlandesas.
La nueva aeronave Boeing 737-700 Next Generation tiene 14 años, es arrendada a la aerolínea mexicana Aeroméxico. El dispositivo, con el número de matrícula PZ-TCT, recibió el nombre de «Distrito de Brokopondo». Según la aerolínea surinamesa SLM Airlines ha expresado en un comunicado de prensa: «Con el nombramiento del nuevo avión, SLM indica la dirección que está tomando nuestra aerolínea nacional; el nombre representa la confianza que SLM tiene en un futuro próximo».
El nuevo Boeing 737-700 está equipado con un nuevo interior que se empleará en las rutas regionales y tendrá capacidad para 120 pasajeros en clase turista y 8 en clase ejecutiva. Es el segundo Boeing 737-700 para la aerolínea de Surinam. La primera copia recibió el SLM en Abril 2018.
Renovación de la flota
El SLM está en proceso de renovación de su flota. La compañía está reemplazando su antiguo avión Boeing 737-300 por la versión más moderna 737-700 Next Generation. Este dispositivo tiene, entre otras cosas, un motor más eficiente y más silencioso que su predecesor. El 737-700 tiene una cabina digital y el dispositivo puede viajar distancias más largas que el 737-300.

Het nieuwe Boeing 737-700 Next Generation-vliegtuig is 14 jaar oud en wordt verhuurd aan de Mexicaanse luchtvaartmaatschappij Aeromexico. Het apparaat met het registratienummer PZ-TCT heette «Brokopondo District». Volgens de Surinaamse luchtvaartmaatschappij heeft SLM Airlines in een persbericht verklaard: ,,Met de benoeming van het nieuwe vliegtuig geeft SLM de richting aan van onze nationale luchtvaartmaatschappij, de naam vertegenwoordigt het vertrouwen dat SLM in de nabije toekomst heeft».
