Toma fuerza Iguazú ante cierre del Aeropuerto Posadas

El Gobierno de Misiones, Argentina, ha solicitado formalmente la postergación de la fecha de inicio de obras y reducir los plazos para las remodelaciones. En los últimos días, tanto en despachos provinciales como nacionales han desestimando la opción paraguaya del Aeropuerto Encarnación para suplir el Aeropuerto Libertador General San Martín de Posadas, cuando éste último cierre por las obras de remodelación anunciadas por el Gobierno.

Ha tomado mayor fuerza el empleo del Aeropuerto Internacional de Iguazú, como aeropuerto alternativo para vuelos de Aerolíneas Argentinas, JetSmart Airlines Argentina y Flybondi Líneas Aéreas para las operaciones par ala Capital de la Provincia de Misiones.

La decisión de abandonar el aterrizaje en el Aeropuerto Encarnación/Teniente Amín Ayub González es porque posee problemas de infraestructura, en especial por la pista que se encuentra en desuso. Resta el estudio de fricción pero son varias las voces que coinciden en que no se llegará a mejorar la pavimentación para Julio o Agosto 2022. Otro problema que se presenta es el pago de la tasa aeroportuaria: regiría la internacional y las aerolíneas no están dispuestas a absorber los costos. Trasladarlas al usuario significará aumentar las tarifas de vuelos.

Iguazú gains strength before the closure of the Posadas Airport

The Government of Misiones, Argentina, has formally requested the postponement of the start date of works and reduce the deadlines for remodeling. In recent days, both provincial and national offices have dismissed the Paraguayan option of the Encarnación Airport to replace the Libertador General San Martín de Posadas Airport, when the latter closed due to the remodeling works announced by the Government.

The use of the Iguazú International Airport, as an alternative airport for flights from Aerolíneas Argentinas, JetSmart Airlines Argentina and Flybondi Líneas Aéreas for operations to the capital of the Province of Misiones, has gained strength.

The decision to abandon the landing at the Encarnación/Teniente Amín Ayub González Airport is because it has infrastructure problems, especially due to the runway that is in disuse. The friction study remains but there are several voices that agree that the paving will not be improved by July or August 2022. Another problem that arises is the payment of the airport tax: the international would apply and the airlines are not willing to absorb the costs. Transferring them to the user will mean increasing flight fares.
