Lufthansa también quiere comprar TAP Portugal
Lufthansa Airlines Group ha declarado su interés por comprar la aerolínea portuguesa TAP Air Portugal, una vez que hayan alcanzado la adquisición de la italiana ITA Airways y cuando sus números vuelvan a mostrar beneficios hacia 2025. “La prioridad de Lufthansa es ITA, pero uno no se puede focalizar sólo en un candidato”, dijo Carsten Spohr, CEO de Lufthansa Airlines, tras el anuncio de resultados económicos de la aerolínes de 2022.
Explicó que la consolidación de las aerolíneas puede tener diversas formas, desde una simple compra, pero también puede haber otros modos. “No rehuimos a TAP. Tanto la portuguesa como ITA son interesantes. Podría dar otros nombres”, añadió el ejecutivo alemán. Las negociaciones con ITA Airways “están yendo de forma positiva. No es una sorpresa porque ITA con Lufthansa es una pareja positiva para ITA, para Lufthansa y también para la economía italiana”, concluyó Carsten Spohr.
