Aprueban fusión aerolíneas Air Nostrum y CityJet
La sinergia entre la aerolínea española Air Nostrum y la irlandesa CityJet han alcanzado la aprobación de la Comunidad Europea (CE). El acuerdo de fusión de Air Nostrum y Cityjet, aprobado por la Dirección General de la Competencia de la Unión Europea, permitirán continuar como unidades con identidad propia bajo un holding aéreo, considerado el más importante de aerolíneas regionales europeas.
Las aprobaciones han sido establecidas en 2019, mientras que el organismo regulador ha solicitado nuevas presentaciones de trámites para otorgar la definitiva aprobación gubernamental. La Comisión Europea ha observado que no se ha planteado problemas de competencia en el transporte aéreo europeo.
La compañía valenciana Air Nostrum ha comunicado que la autorización de la operación supone un hito significativo en el proceso de integración. Ambas aerolíneas entra en su fase final pendiente de los últimos trámites posteriores a la autorización por parte de la Unión Europea.
El Jueves 02/03, la Comisión Europea aprobó, por segunda vez, la fusión entre la firma de gestión de inversiones estadounidense US Fortress Investment Group y la corporación Air Investment Valencia. El nuevo grupo que emerge combinará la red de la aerolínea regional irlandesa CityJet y la española Air Nostrum alcanzando posicionarse en el corto plazo como la línea aérea regional líder en Europa centrada en la aviación regional alcanzando la cantidad conjunta de 70 aeronaves, servicios de soporte y mantenimiento.

Air Nostrum and CityJet Airlines approve fusion
The synergy between the Spanish airline Air Nostrum and the Irish CityJet have reached the approval of the European Community (EC). The Air Nostrum and Cityjet fusion agreement, approved by the General Directorate of the European Union competition, will allow to continue as units with their own identity under an air holding, considered the most important of European regional airlines.
The approvals have been established in 2019, while the regulatory body has requested new procedures presentations to grant the final government approval. The European Commission has observed that there has been no competition problems in European air transport.
The Valencian company Air Nostrum has reported that the authorization of the operation is a significant milestone in the integration process. Both airlines enters its final phase pending the last procedures after authorization by the European Union.
On Thursday 02/03, the European Commission approved, for the second time, the fusion between the US investment management firm US Fortress Investment Group and the Air Investment Valencia Corporation. The new group that emerges will combine the network of the Irish regional airline Cityjet and the Spanish Air Nostrum reaching in the short term as the Lider Regional Air Line in Europe focused on regional aviation reaching the joint amount of 70 aircraft, support services and maintenance.
