El primer Boeing 777-300ER de United Airlines ha salido del taller de pintura en Everett, Washington, casi 22 años después de que el transportista recibiera el primer 777.

La compañía con sede en Chicago está programada para recibir la aeronave (registro N58031 y MSN 62642) de Boeing a finales de diciembre, con entrada en servicio programada para febrero de 2017.

United planea basar el 777 extendido en su hub de aeropuerto de Newark Liberty International y usará inicialmente el tipo en vuelos domésticos antes de cambiarlo a rutas internacionales en el segundo trimestre de 2017.

La aerolínea estrenará su nuevo asiento de clase ejecutiva Polaris en el 777-300ER. La aeronave tendrá 60 asientos premium en la nueva configuración de acceso de todo el pasillo.

United tiene pedidos firmes para 14 777-300ER, que complementarán su flota de 74 777-200s. El transportista recibió el primer 777-200 en mayo de 1995.  

Boeing rolls out United’s first 777-300ER

United Airlines‘ first Boeing 777-300ER has rolled out of the paint shop in Everett, Washington, nearly 22 years after the carrier took delivery of the first 777.

The Chicago-based carrier is scheduled to take delivery of the aircraft (registration N58031 and MSN 62642) from Boeing in late December, with entry-into-service slated for February 2017.

United plans to base the stretched 777 at its Newark Liberty International airport hub and will initially use the type on domestic flights before shifting it to international routes in the second quarter of 2017.

The airline will debut its new Polaris business class seat on the 777-300ER. The aircraft will have 60 of the premium seats in the new all-aisle access configuration.

United has firm orders for 14 777-300ERs, which will complement its fleet of 74 777-200s. The carrier took delivery of the first 777-200 in May 1995. A\W
