Avanzan las gestiones en Chile para implementar un vuelo semanal San Juan – La Serena
Las autoridades están haciendo las tratativas con la empresa chilena Aerolíneas DAP para poder implementar un vuelo charter, tal como se hacía hace algunos años.
La idea de conectar a las ciudades argentinas de San Juan y Mendoza vía aérea con el aeropuerto La Florida, en La Serena, ha sido un viejo anhelo en la zona que esta temporada estival podría concretarse dadas las gestiones que está efectuando el gobierno a través de su área de Turismo, el Sernatur.
Según publica el diario El Día de Chile, el intendente regional, Claudio Ibáñez, indicó que dado el alto flujo de visitantes del vecino país que se registró el verano pasado, se está estudiando su habilitación. «En la última temporada hubo un registro de 70 mil entradas y salidas de vehículos por el paso Agua Negra, lo que implicó que enero y febrero tuviéramos copadas las reservas, con casi un 80% o 90%, principalmente sanjuaninos. Para aprovechar esto ahora estamos haciendo coordinaciones con Sernatur, y lo conversé con el gobernador de San Juan, para tratar de traer vuelos chárter entre San Juan y Coquimbo al menos durante los meses de enero y febrero», puntualizó el jefe regional.
Cabe destacar que en años anteriores esto ya se había realizado, pero las operaciones se detuvieron debido a que no se hacían rentables, pero ahora se avizora una oportunidad. «No sabemos cuál será el resultado, lo que sí estamos haciendo es gestionar a través de la Subsecretaría de Turismo, que incluso ya asignó recursos para una campaña de promoción en San Juan y Mendoza, para tener la demanda de vuelos chárter con aerolíneas DAP y una agencia de viaje de Mendoza. En eso estamos en pleno proceso y estamos dependiendo hoy día de las agencias de Mendoza y San Juan», indicó Ibáñez.
De acuerdo a lo expresado por el intendente «es lo que queremos, lo que estamos gestionando, pero son iniciativas privadas, porque no tenemos sistemas de aviación públicos, estamos dependiendo hoy de la voluntad de los privados, pero sí estamos haciendo una campaña para que existan vuelos de San Juan y Mendoza hacia nuestra región».
También se quieren aprovechar las ventajas, dice, del denominado turismo de compras «porque además que la región cuenta con condiciones privilegiadas de vacaciones, de mar, de valles, hoy el tipo de cambio favorece la llegada masiva de argentinos que vienen a hacer compras a nuestro país», puntualiza.
Así lo detalla también el director regional de Sernatur, Alberto Duarte, quien indica que efectivamente como entidad están apoyando las tratativas de un tour operador argentino, en conjunto con una aerolínea chilena, efectuando gestiones preliminares para ver la posibilidad de hacer vuelos chárter durante enero y febrero.
La empresa aérea que estaría interesada en efectuar este recorrido es Aerolíneas DAP, que se especializa en chárter y opera en Antofagasta y Punta Arenas, la que estaría en conversaciones con el tour operador argentino Se.pe.an.
«El aumento del flujo no va a ser significativo, porque estamos hablando de un vuelo semanal, que es lo que están estimando ellos, pero lo que sí nos interesa a nosotros como Sernatur regional es abrir la línea de comunicación aérea entre Mendoza, San Juan y La Serena, demostrar que es viable comercialmente y que tanto esta línea aérea como otras empresas del rubro nacionales vean que se puede hacer la ruta, que es interesante y poder explorar también a mediano o largo plazo la posibilidad de tener vuelos regulares, que siempre ha sido algo muy esperado en la zona», recalca.
En algún minuto se realizaron, advierte «y hoy creo que las condiciones del mercado, la demanda que tenemos de flujo desde Argentina hacia acá permitirían que fueran vuelos comercialmente viables. Lo que estamos haciendo nosotros es poder facilitar este primer intento de apertura de rutas, a través de un acuerdo de dos privados y nosotros como servicio público estamos dando las facilidades y apoyándolos para que eso se dé y sea ojalá el inicio a mediano plazo del restablecimiento de las rutas aéreas Mendoza, San Juan, La Serena», enfatiza Duarte.
En relación a cuándo podrá haber una respuesta definitiva respecto de este tema, el director regional de Sernatur sostiene que «estamos en pleno trabajo, este es un acuerdo de privados, por lo tanto, si se ratifica o no va a depender de los acuerdos que tengan ellos, pero nosotros esperamos que de aquí a fines de noviembre ya tengamos claridad de si esto se va a poder llevar a cabo y vamos a hacer todos los esfuerzos para que así sea», finaliza.
