Air Astana, aerolínea bandera de Kazajistán, recibió su primer Airbus A320neo en la sede central de Airbus en Toulouse, en presencia de ejecutivos de la aerolínea y funcionarios del gobierno. El avión alquilado a Air Lease Corporation es parte de un acuerdo anunciado en el pasado Airshow de Farnborough 2015 por 11 aviones de la Familia A320neo.

El A320neo se unirá a la flota ya existente de 13 aviones de la familia A320 que posee Air Astana y que operan en la red nacional e internacional.

La aeronave será equipada con motores Pratt & Whitney; además, tendrá una configuración en cabina de dos clases, con capacidad para 16 pasajeros en clase Business y 132 en economía.

«La llegada del primer Airbus A321 propiedad de Air Astana no sólo es un acontecimiento importante para la compañía, sino también para el gobierno de Kazajistán. Después de haber puesto en marcha la aerolínea con un pequeño capital en el año 2002, estamos muy contentos de tener la suficiente capacidad financiera para adquirir una nueva flota de sustancial valor. Air Astana ha entrado en una nueva e importante fase de desarrollo”, señaló el Presidente de Air Astana, Peter Foster. 

Air Astana receives its first A320neo

Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s flagship airline, received its first Airbus A320neo at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse in the presence of airline executives and government officials. The aircraft leased to Air Lease Corporation is part of an agreement announced at the last Airshow of Farnborough 2015 by 11 aircraft of the A320neo Family.

The A320neo will join the existing fleet of 13 aircraft of the family A320 that owns Air Astana and that operate in the national and international network.

The aircraft will be equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines; In addition, will have a configuration in cabin of two classes, with capacity for 16 passengers in Business class and 132 in economy.
