Air Vanuatu inicia operaciones de su primer ATR 72-600 con certificación ETOPS

La aerolínea nacional de Vanuatu, Air Vanuatu, ha comenzado las operaciones de su primer ATR 72-600. El avión, alquilado a Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), fue entregado recientemente en Toulouse, Francia. El avión está configurado con 70 asientos y está equipado con la tecnología más moderna tanto en cabina de pasajeros como de pilotos.

Gracias a las capacidades y certificación de ETOPS de 120 minutos (Extended Range Twin-engine Operations), el nuevo ATR 72-600 será capaz de operar no sólo dentro de la red interna de la aerolínea, sino dentro de los territorios circundantes como Fiji, Nueva Caledonia y las Islas Salomón.

ATR es el único fabricante de turbohélice que cuenta con certificación ETOPS-120 en sus aviones, lo que aumenta considerablemente la versatilidad operativa de la aeronave. Air Vanuatu comenzó a operar los aviones ATR en el año 2004 y hoy cuenta con dos ATR 72-500 en su flota.

Air Vanuatu starts operations of its first ATR 72-600 ETOPS certified

Vanuatu’s national airline, Air Vanuatu, has begun operations on its first ATR 72-600. The aircraft, rented to Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), was recently delivered in Toulouse, France. The aircraft is configured with 70 seats and is equipped with the most modern technology in both passenger cabin and pilots.

Thanks to the capabilities and certification of the Extended Range Twin-engine Operations (ETOPS), the new ATR 72-600 will be able to operate not only within the airline’s internal network but within the surrounding territories such as Fiji, New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands.

ATR is the only turboprop manufacturer to have ETOPS-120 certification on its aircraft, significantly increasing the aircraft’s operational versatility. Air Vanuatu began operating the ATR aircraft in 2004 and today has two 72-500 ATRs in its fleet.
