La última adquisición de Air Niugini ‘s, una quinta Fokker 70 aviones llegó a Port Moresby el fin de semana (sábado 12 de noviembre).

El avión está a la espera de la finalización de las aprobaciones regulatorias y trámites de CASA PNG antes de comenzar las operaciones. Air Niugini está a la espera de otra aeronave de cuatro F70 durante el año 2017, para tomar el total de hasta nueve aviones.

Air Niugini CEO Sr. Simon Foo, dar la bienvenida al F70 adicional, dijo que esta última llegada es una continuación de la renovación de la flota de ejercicios de Air Niugini para sustituir el avión Q400 y estandarizar sus operaciones internacionales regionales recorrido interno y corto en un todo Fokker 100 / 70 flota de aviones.

Dijo que el avión F70 tiene ventajas significativas sobre los aviones de hélice en términos de velocidad, alcance y comodidad de los pasajeros, y mejor se adapte a las necesidades de la aerolínea en el futuro.

Él dijo, «el F70 tiene la capacidad de volar 35% más de distancia con la misma carga que sus competidores de hélice, y su velocidad más rápida reduce los tiempos de vuelo de 20 minutos en promedio. También vuela 30% más alto que el Q400 y ATR, garantizando a los clientes de un viaje más suave y silencioso «.

El Fokker 70 es un avión de mayor alcance que el Fokker 100, Q400 y ATR, que es de gran beneficio a Air Niugini y sus clientes como la aerolínea continúa expandiendo sus servicios en todo el país y la región.

«Esta gama ya significa un F70 no tiene que parar a repostar, ya que tiene la capacidad suficiente combustible para volar más lejos sin repostar combustible», dijo el Sr. Foo.

El servicio de aviones F70 tanto destinos nacionales e internacionales de Air Niugini. La adición de este último avión permitirá a la aerolínea para reintroducir los servicios en los sectores entre Lae, Hoskins, y Rabaul, reintroducir servicios de aviones a Hoskins a finales de este mes, tan pronto como la actualización de la pista es completa, así como la adición de servicios en otras rutas de atender el período de Navidad pico.

Air Niugini actualmente tiene un 25 aeronaves total incluyendo B767, B737, F100, F70, Q400 y Dash 8. El Dash 8s son operados por su filial, Enlace PNG. 

Air Niugini receives fifth Fokker 70

Air Niugini ‘s latest acquisition, a fifth Fokker 70 aircraft arrived in Port Moresby Port Moresby over the weekend (Saturday 12th November).

The aircraft is currently awaiting completion of regulatory approvals and paperwork from CASA PNG prior to commencing operations. Air Niugini is expecting another four F70 aircraft during 2017, to take the total up to nine aircraft.

Air Niugini Chief Executive Officer Mr Simon Foo, in welcoming the additional F70, said this latest arrival is a continuation of Air Niugini’s re-fleeting exercise to replace the Q400 aircraft and standardize its domestic and short haul regional international operations on an all Fokker 100/70 jet fleet.

He said the F70 aircraft has significant advantages over propeller driven aircraft in terms of speed, range, and passenger comfort, and best meets the airline’s needs into the future.

He said, “the F70 has the ability to fly 35% more distance with the same load as its propeller driven competitors, and its faster speed reduces flight times by 20minutes on average . It also flies 30% higher than the Q400 and ATR,  ensuring customers of a smoother and quieter journey.”

The Fokker 70 is a longer range aircraft than the Fokker 100, Q400 and ATR , which is of significant benefit to Air Niugini and its customers as the airline continues to expand its services across the country and the region.

“This longer range means an F70 doesn’t have to stop to refuel as it has sufficient fuel capacity to fly further without refueling stops.” Mr Foo said.

The F70 aircraft service both Air Niugini’s domestic and international destinations. The addition of this latest aircraft will allow the airline to reintroduce services on the sectors between Lae, Hoskins, and Rabaul, reintroduce jet services to Hoskins later this month as soon as the runway upgrade is complete, as well as adding services on other routes to cater for the peak Christmas period.

Air Niugini currently has a total 25 aircraft including B767, B737, F100, F70, Q400 and Dash 8. The Dash 8s are operated by its subsidiary company, Link PNG. A\W
