La empresa colombiana comenzaría a operar entre mayo y junio del año próximo. El gobernador Manzur y la línea aérea ya firmaron el acuerdo

El Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario «Islas Malvinas» contará con un vuelo diario a Tucumán desde mediados del año próximo, operado por Avianca, el cual permitirá alcanzar destinos internacionales a través de las conexiones que ofrecerá la aerolínea colombiana.

El gobernador de Tucumán, Juan Manzur, y directivos de Avianca firmaron hoy el convenio que le permitirá a la compañía aérea colombiana operar a partir del próximo año en la provincia con un paquete de vuelos que incluye los países de la Zona de Integración del Centro Oeste de América del Sur (Zicosur).

La instalación de la línea aérea generará una inversión de alrededor de 70 millones de dólares y aportará unos 1.000 puestos de trabajo en forma directa e indirecta. Además, fortalecerá la actividad turística de la provincia y la región, según destacaron las autoridades provinciales y representantes de la compañía aérea durante el acto celebrado hoy en la Sociedad Rural de Tucumán.

Según acordaron las autoridades, la aerolínea, que comenzará a operar oficialmente entre mayo y junio del próximo año, realizará quince vuelos diarios de cabotaje que se sumarán a los diez que ya operan el aeropuerto «Benjamín Matienzo».

Si bien todavía no se realizó el pedido oficial a Rosario para cubrir la ruta entre Tucumán y el aeropuerto de Fisherton, desde la estación aérea local admitieron que hubo algunas conversaciones informales pero que aún no llegó ningún pedido oficial al respecto, aunque estimaron que no existiría ningún obstáculo para tramitar los permisos, por lo que consideran que simplemente falta la oficialización del vuelo.

Los destinos incluyen ciudades del NOA y NEA y desde Tucumán se podrá viajar, además de Rosario, a Salta con cinco frecuencias diarias, Córdoba (tres), Resistencia, Iguazú, Catamarca, La Rioja, Santiago del Estero, San Juan, Mendoza y Posadas, estos últimos con un vuelo por día.

A ellos se sumarán los servicios internacionales hacia Iquique (Chile), Santa Cruz (Bolivia), Asunción (Paraguay), Lima (Perú) y Florianópolis (Brasil), todos con conexiones a diferentes partes del mundo.

«La llegada de Avianca permitirá mejorar la conectividad aérea de la provincia», manifestó Manzur, quien precisó que la empresa «comenzará a operar entre mayo y junio de 2017» y explicó que ahora «el gran desafío será adaptar el aeropuerto local; dotarlo de las comodidades necesarias y convertirlo en internacional, además de capacitar al personal».

Según Manzur, Avianca es «una de las empresas más grandes del mundo», con una importante flota de aviones que no supera los cuatro años de antigüedad y su desembarco en la provincia «desencadena una serie de acciones positivas que permitirán a los tucumanos estar mejor, con más trabajo ya que la empresa tomará 250 personas en forma progresiva, a lo que debemos sumar los puestos indirectos que ese movimiento genera».

Desde Avianca adelantaron que pretenden «comenzar a prestar servicio en tiempo récord». El empresario Germán Efromovich sostuvo que la aerolínea colombiana no pretende competir con las otras empresas que operan en la provincia: «Venimos a llenar un espacio que demanda ser ocupado porque no actúa la competencia», dijo.
