Paramaribo, SURINAM · De acuerdo con fuentes confiables, los propietarios de la aerolínea Surinam Fly Allways cesarán la operación de la aerolínea el 15 de enero de este año.

Fly Allways inició oficialmente sus operaciones hace aproximadamente un año, el 10 de enero de 2016, con el lanzamiento de su vuelo nacional inaugural. Su primer vuelo comercial tuvo lugar el 22 de enero de 2016, a Barbados. Más tarde en febrero de 2016 los primeros vuelos siguieron a Curacao y St Maarten.

Después de años de retroceso hacia la certificación para volar, con los acreedores a la espera de los pagos, cargas pobres, y uno de sus dos aviones Fokker 70 que se utiliza como fuente de piezas de repuesto para mantener a la otra volando, Fly Allways ha enfrentado un alarmante futuro financiero.

La situación financiera de la aerolínea no permitió al transportista mantener su segundo avión volando.

«La solicitud de Fly Allways para una extensión del tiempo de mantenimiento en los componentes principales de sus aviones, como la revisión del tren de aterrizaje, no fue aprobada por la autoridad de aviación de Suriname», dijo una fuente. «Esto ha llevado a la puesta a tierra de un avión, que ahora se utiliza como fuente para las partes de su único vuelo Fokker 70.»

El lugar más cercano en el Caribe donde el Fokker puede ser mantenido es Curacao; Sin embargo, hubo informes no confirmados de que ninguno de los dos Fokkers fue a Curacao para el mantenimiento.

Fly Allways Suriname to cease operations on January 15

PARAMARIBO, Suriname · According to reliable sources, the owners of the Suriname airline Fly Allways will cease operation of the airline on January 15 of this year.

Fly Allways officially started operations about a year ago on January 10, 2016, with the launch of its inaugural domestic flight. Its first commercial flight took place on January 22, 2016, to Barbados. Later in February 2016 first flights followed to Curacao and St Maarten.

Following years of setback towards certification to fly, with creditors awaiting payments, poor payloads, and one of its two Fokker 70 aircraft being used as a source of spare parts to keep the other one flying, Fly Allways has been facing an alarming financial future.

The airline’s financial situation did not reportedly allow the carrier to keep its second aircraft flying.

“Fly Allways request for an extension of maintenance time on major components of its aircraft such as the overhaul of the landing gear was not approved by the aviation authority of Suriname,” said a source. “This has led to the grounding of one aircraft, which is now being used as a source for parts of their sole flying Fokker 70.”

The closest place in the Caribbean where the Fokker can be serviced is Curacao; however, there were unconfirmed reports that neither of the two Fokkers went to Curacao for maintenance.

“After two years of sitting in Suriname, the two Fokkers haven’t been to a maintenance hangar. Fly Allways still does not have an approved maintenance base,” the source said.

“The load factor between Suriname, Guyana and Barbados is below 30 percent. Between Barbados and Guyana an average of 20 seats are occupied. Plans to commence service to Haiti have been cancelled,” confirmed a second source.

Just last month Fly Allways was granted a permit to operate scheduled flights between Guyana, Barbados and Suriname to Antigua, where it customarily stopped for refueling on its way to Haiti. A\W

PARAMARIBO, Suriname · Volgens betrouwbare bronnen, de eigenaren van de Suriname luchtvaartmaatschappij Fly Allways zal de werking van de luchtvaartmaatschappij te staken op 15 januari van dit jaar.

Fly Allways officieel van start ging ongeveer een jaar geleden, op 10 januari 2016, met de lancering van zijn eerste binnenlandse vlucht. De eerste commerciële vlucht vond plaats op 22 januari 2016, naar Barbados. Later in februari 2016 de eerste vlucht volgde naar Curaçao en Sint Maarten.

Na jaren van tegenslag in de richting van certificatie om te vliegen, met de schuldeisers in afwachting van betalingen, slechte payloads, en één van de twee Fokker 70 vliegtuigen wordt gebruikt als bron van reserve-onderdelen aan de andere een vliegende te houden, is Fly Allways al geconfronteerd met een alarmerende financiële toekomst.

Financiële situatie van de luchtvaartmaatschappij niet naar verluidt kan de luchtvaartmaatschappij haar tweede vliegtuig vliegen te houden.

«Vlieg Allways verzoek om verlenging van het onderhoud tijd op de belangrijkste onderdelen van haar vliegtuigen, zoals de herziening van het landingsgestel werd niet goedgekeurd door de luchtvaartautoriteit van Suriname», aldus een bron. «Dit heeft geleid tot de onderbreking van een vliegtuig, die nu als bron wordt gebruikt voor onderdelen van hun enige vliegende Fokker 70.»

De dichtstbijzijnde plaats in het Caribisch gebied waar de Fokker kunnen worden bediend is Curacao; echter, waren er onbevestigde berichten dat geen van de twee Fokkers gingen naar Curaçao voor het onderhoud.

«Na twee jaar zitten in Suriname, de twee Fokkers hebben om geen onderhoud hangar geweest. Fly Allways nog steeds niet een erkende onderhoudsorganisatie basis hebben «, zei de bron.

«De bezettingsgraad tussen Suriname, Guyana en Barbados is minder dan 30 procent. Tussen Barbados en Guyana een gemiddelde van 20 zetels bezet zijn. Plannen om dienst te beginnen naar Haïti zijn geannuleerd»,  bevestigde een tweede bron.
