La compañía Official Airline Guide (OAG) publicó su informe anual “Punctuality League 2016”, donde figuran las aerolíneas más puntuales del mundo. Menos de 15 minutos debe demorar una aerolínea, en llegar o salir del aeropuerto, si quiere ser parte de esta lista exclusiva.
El 2016 la estadounidense, Hawaiian Airlines, sorprendió a todos al liderar el ránking de las 20 aerolíneas de largo recorrido más puntuales del mundo, ya que logró escalar ocho posiciones desde el 2015. Su índice de regularidad fue de 89,87%.
En segundo lugar se colocó la compañía panameña Copa Airlines, con un índice de regularidad del 88,75 %. OAG destacó que la aerolínea mantuviera su segundo lugar. Seguidamente, con un índice de 87,89%, se encontró KLM, una de las aerolíneas más importantes de los Países Bajos.
Algo que destaca del reporte, es que de las 20 aerolíneas cuatro son aerolíneas «low cost». Hablamos de la británica Monarch Airlines, la brasileña GOL, la holandesa Transavia, y la británica Jet2.
En el caso latinoamérica, la lista esta liderada por la compañía chilena Sky Airline, que tiene un índice de regularidad del 91,13%. Siguiendole de cerca encontramos a Copa Airlines, que ocupa el segundo lugar, obteniendo un índice de 88,75%.
Con un índice de regularidad de 84,63%, la aerolínea «low cost», GOL, ocupó el tercer lugar. Según la compañía Official Airline Guide, esta aerolínea es la más grande de América Latina en términos de vuelos operados en 2016.
