Las gestiones para el comienzo del reacondicionamiento de las obras del aeropuerto de de La Plata viene de la mano de la solicitud de la línea aérea Flybondi para su hub de operaciones

En la ciudad de La Plata se viene analizando la posibilidad de desarrollar megaobras en el aeropuerto local con el objetivo de posicionarlo comercialmente. La iniciativa, como veces anteriores, fracasó y el proyecto quedó en el olvido.

En los últimos días, dicha posibilidad volvió a reflotar a partir de las gestiones del actual jefe comunal, Julio Garro, quien en la reunión que mantuvo ayer con el Presidente Mauricio Macri formalizó el pedido para retomar el proyecto original.

El planteo del intendente bonaerense empalma con los intereses de la aerolínea Flybondi, la cual a a través de su servicio de Low Cost, evalúa la posibilidad de instalarse en la capital provincial.

De hecho, la compañía ya solicitó una audiencia para que les sean otorgadas las rutas. A partir de allí comenzarán con la presentación y las conversaciones con los gremios con el objetivo de empezar a funcionar en el tercer trimestre de 2017. De todas formas, existen otras opciones como la base de El Palomar en Morón. La inversión estipulada incluyen 25 aviones en cinco años y una inversión total de 75 millones de dólares.
