La Comisión de Transportes de la Cámara de Diputados aprobó, por unanimidad, reformas a la Ley de Aviación Civil, que contienen sanciones y penalidades en contra de las líneas aéreas que incurran en abusos como la sobreventa de boletos, demoras en los vuelos, cancelaciones, entre otras recurrentes irregularidades que se registran en los aeropuertos.

Entre lo aprobado por los legisladores se señala que en caso de sobreventa de vuelos y cancelaciones, se establece que la aerolínea deberá reintegrar el costo del boleto al usuario, más una indemnización del 25 por ciento del costo total.

En caso de demoras, el pasajero será indemnizado y/o compensado por el proveedor del servicios cuando sea atribuido al concesionario o permisionario.

Cuando la demora sea superior a una hora e inferior a cuatro, se compensará conforme a las políticas de compensación de cada permisionario o concesionario.
