La aerolínea noruega cancela red servicios en el Caribe francés

Norwegian Air suspenderá rutas al Caribe desde el 29 Marzo 2019 debido a su difícil situación económica, en cumplimiento de su plan de emergencia para sanear las cuentas. Las rutas aéreas que han sido suprimidas corresponden a: Fort de France (Martinica) y Fort Lauderdale (Florida); Fort de France y Montreal (Canadá) y entre Fort de France y Nueva York (EEUU), incluyendo el vuelo de retorno a Point a Pitrè (Guadalupe). La aerolínea también cancela Cayena (Guayana Francesa). Estos recorridos hacían una competencia directa a varias aerolíneas de bandera francesa, especialmente a Air France. Las rutas aéreas no tenían un año y medio de operaciones, dado que fueron lanzadas antes de que se hiciera evidente la crisis financiera de Norwegian Air.

Norwegian Argentina

Con estos grandes recortes apenas queda operativa la aventura en Argentina, en la que al final del primer años tenían que estar operativos cuatro aviones Boeing 737-800, entre idas y venidas. Actualmente posee cuatro aeronaves y una débil presencia en el mercado frente a una fuerte competencia de Flybondi y la nueva aerolínea low cost JetSMART Airlines de Argentina.

El grupo de Norwegian se compone de Norwegian Air Shuttle (Noruega), Norwegian Air International (Irlanda), Norwegian Air Sweden (Suecia), Norwegian Air UK (Reino Unido) y la más reciente Norwegian Air Argentina. Las cancelaciones de recorridos exigen ahora a Norwegian Air  ser capaz de colocar esos aviones sin uso, lo cual está negociando desesperadamente para lograr liquidez por un lado y dejar de perder dinero, por otro.

The Norwegian airline cancels network services in the French Caribbean

Norwegian Air will suspend routes to the Caribbean from March 29, 2019 due to its difficult economic situation, in compliance with its emergency plan to clean up the accounts.
