Aerolíneas Argentinas restablece frecuencias a Cuba
El comunicado de prensa emitido el Martes 12/04 la compañía Aerolíneas Argentinas restablecerá nuevamente el servicio Buenos Aires/EZE—La Habana/HAV en Cuba a partir del 4 Julio 2022 con escala previa en Punta Cana/PUJ. La aerolínea iniciará servicios con aeronaves Boeing 737-8 MAX que permite desarrollar una autonomía para esta ruta hacia el Caribe con tres frecuencias semanales (3Frq/S). La nueva ruta hacia La Habana se incorpora al actual servicio non-stop Buenos Aires/EZE—Punta Cana/PUJ los Martes/Miércoles/Sábados/Domingos.
La compañía había abandonado la ruta en 2016. Entre 2015—2016, había empleado Boeing 737-800/A340-300 con escala en Caracas/CCS, Venezuela con dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S). La programación de los vuelos desde el Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza/EZE conectará los días Lunes/Jueves/Viernes, y el vuelo de regreso tiene lugar los días siguientes, permitiendo desarrollar la ruta de ida Buenos Aires/EZE—Punta Cana/PUJ—La Habana/HAV y regreso La Habana/HAV—Punta Cana/PUJ—Buenos Aires/EZE. La aerolínea no ha detallado si la escala en Punta Cana es técnica o comercial debido a que tanto Cuba como República Dominicana no poseen acuerdos de Quinta Libertad de aviación.
La programación vigente para la ruta Buenos Aires/EZE—La Habana/HAV es la siguiente:

“Tenemos la experiencia previa de haber operado allí, es un vuelo muy solicitado por tour-operadores y agencias de viajes ya que hay una demanda latente y creemos que se complementará muy bien con el vuelo a Punta Cana. Además, siempre es una gran noticia recuperar destinos que quedaron abandonados”, expresó el CEO de Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani.
Aerolíneas incorpora su tercer destino al Caribe. Actualmente, vuela a Cancún con 4Frq/S y a Punta Cana con 3Frq/S. En cuanto a los vuelos internacionales, la compañía ha confirmado recientemente la reanudación de la conexión con Roma y las nuevas rutas regionales a Brasilia/BSB, Curitiba/CWB y Porto Alegre/POA.

Aerolíneas Argentinas restores frequencies to Cuba
The press release issued on Tuesday 04/12, the company Aerolíneas Argentinas will once again re-establish the Buenos Aires/EZE—Havana/HAV service in Cuba as of July 4, 2022 with a previous stopover in Punta Cana/PUJ. The airline will begin services with Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft that will allow it to develop autonomy for this route to the Caribbean with three weekly frequencies (3Frq/S). The new route to Havana joins the current Buenos Aires/EZE—Punta Cana/PUJ non-stop service on Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Saturdays/Sundays.
The company had abandoned the route in 2016. Between 2015—2016, it had used Boeing 737-800/A340-300 with a stopover in Caracas/CCS, Venezuela with two weekly frequencies (2Frq/S). The programming of the flights from the Ezeiza/EZE International Airport will connect on Monday/Thursday/Friday, and the return flight takes place the following days, allowing the one-way route Buenos Aires/EZE—Punta Cana/PUJ—Havana to be developed. /HAV and return Havana/HAV—Punta Cana/PUJ—Buenos Aires/EZE. The airline has not specified whether the stopover in Punta Cana is technical or commercial because both Cuba and the Dominican Republic do not have Fifth Freedom aviation agreements.

“We have previous experience of having operated there, it is a highly requested flight by tour operators and travel agencies since there is a latent demand and we believe that it will complement the flight to Punta Cana very well. In addition, it is always great news to recover destinations that were abandoned”, said the CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani.
Aerolíneas incorporates its third destination to the Caribbean. Currently, it flies to Cancun with 4Frq/S and to Punta Cana with 3Frq/S. Regarding international flights, the company has recently confirmed the resumption of the connection with Rome and the new regional routes to Brasilia/BSB, Curitiba/CWB and Porto Alegre/POA.
