Un avión de carga Boeing 727-200C, operado por Aerosucre Colombia, fue destruido cuando cayó poco después del despegue del aeropuerto de Puerto Carreño en Colombia. Uno de los seis miembros de la tripulación sobrevivió al accidente. El avión despegó de la pista 24, una pista de aterrizaje de 1780 m alrededor de las 17:20.

Los videos están circulando en línea, supuestamente mostrando el avión de accidente en el despegue. El avión no puede levantar la pista y cruza la cerca del perímetro del aeropuerto y la carretera en una actitud de nariz hacia arriba. La distancia desde el final de la pista hasta la carretera perimetral es de 95 metros. Aerocivil informa que el avión se estrelló a 10 millas del aeropuerto.

Un video publicado en Youtube en octubre de 2016 muestra un despegue de un Boeing 727 de Aerosucre en el Aeropuerto de Puerto Carreño que apenas despeja la valla perimetral.

Cinco personas murieron y otra está en estado crítico luego de que el avión de carga en el que se transportaban se accidentara ayer en el este de Colombia, informó la Aeronáutica Civil.

«En el sitio del accidente mueren cinco tripulantes y uno de ellos se encuentra en este momento en el hospital atendido (…) y será trasladado a Bogotá en un avión ambulancia de la Fuerza Aérea» Colombiana, dijo en un video el coronel Freddy Bonilla, secretario de Seguridad de la Aeronáutica Civil.

Los cinco fallecidos son el piloto Jaime Cantillo, el copiloto Mauricio Guzmán, el ingeniero de vuelo Pedro Duarte, el despachador Felipe Vargas y el operario Nelson David Rojas.

El único sobreviviente es el técnico de vuelo Diego Armando Vargas, quien se encuentra en el Hospital San Juan de Dios del municipio de Puerto Carreño en el departamento de Vichada, fronterizo con Venezuela, donde ocurrió el siniestro.

La aeronave accidentada es un Boeing 727 de matrícula HK4544 de la aerolínea colombiana Aerosucre, que iba con destino a Bogotá desde Puerto Carreño, agregó la Aerocivil.

El vehículo de carga se desplomó a las 17H23 locales (23H23 GMT) a 10 millas del aeropuerto Germán Olano, que sirve a Puerto Carreño, desde donde había despegado tres minutos antes, sostuvo la autoridad en un comunicado.

En el avión había seis tripulantes, afirmó a AFP el portavoz de la Aeronáutica Civil, quien explicó que las causas del siniestro se desconocen, pero que a la zona ya se trasladó un equipo de investigadores.

A Boeing 727-200C cargo plane, operated by Aerosucre Colombia, was destroyed when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Puerto Carreño Airport in Colombia. One of the six crew members survived the accident. The aircraft took off from runway 24, a 1780 m long runway about 17:20.

Videos are circulating online, supposedly showing the accident aircraft on takeoff. The airplane fails to lift off the runway and crosses the airport perimeter fence and road in a nose up attitude. Distance from the end of the runway to the perimeter road is 95 meters. Aerocivil reports the aircraft crashed 10 miles from the airport.

Five people were killed and another in critical condition after the cargo plane in which they were transported crashed yesterday in eastern Colombia, the Civil Aeronautics reported.

«At the site of the accident five crew members are killed and one of them is currently in the hospital attended … and will be transferred to Bogota on an ambulance plane from the Colombian Air Force,» said Colonel Freddy Bonilla, Secretary of Security of the Civil Aeronautics.

The five dead are the pilot Jaime Cantillo, the co-pilot Mauricio Guzmán, the flight engineer Pedro Duarte, the dispatcher Felipe Vargas and the operative Nelson David Rojas.

The only survivor is flight technician Diego Armando Vargas, who is in San Juan de Dios Hospital in the municipality of Puerto Carreño – in the department of Vichada, bordering Venezuela – where the incident occurred.
