Avianca Centroamérica incorpora Airbus A320NEO a su flota de aeronaves
La aerolínea Avianca Centroamérica, miembro de Avianca Holding ha anunciado la incorporación de una nueva aeronave Airbus A320NEO que cubrirá las rutas entre la región y Estados Unidos. La nueva aeronave iniciará operaciones desde el Aeropuerto Internacional El Salvador Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez, con un vuelo hacia Nueva York, Estados Unidos. No obstante, funcionará para los diferentes destinos ya disponibles de la aerolínea, informó Hernán Rincón, Presidente Ejecutivo y CEO de Avianca.

La versión NEO con tecnología New Engine Option (NEO) garantiza una operación eco-eficiente, afirmó Avianca, pues ahorra hasta el 15 % en combustible y reduce los índices de contaminación acústica y ambiental, al generar un 50 % menos de ruido. También se estima que la emisión de gases se reduce en cerca de 5,000 toneladas de dióxido de carbono (CO2) al año. El A320NEO cuenta con 153 sillas, 12 en clase ejecutiva y 141 en clase económica. En la clase ejecutiva, además de ofrecer mayor espacio entre las sillas con más de 40 pulgadas de espacio se brinda una de las mejores soluciones ergonómicas en el mercado por su composición y diseño. Además, toda la cabina está equipada con un sistema de iluminación LED, que permite una mejor ambientación del trayecto para el bienestar de los viajeros.
El avión cuenta con un renovado Sistema de Entretenimiento a Bordo que facilita la navegación a través de pantallas individuales y que cuenta con un puerto USB para que los viajeros conecten sus dispositivos. La inclusión de la funcionalidad Wireless les permite a los clientes controlar el contenido de sus pantallas desde sus dispositivos portátiles, a través de la aplicación Avianca Entertainment disponible en las tiendas de Apple y Android.
La aerolínea informó que durante 2018 incorporarán tres naves más con la tecnología NEO. La segunda llegará a finales de mayo, la siguiente en junio y la última en octubre. A la fecha, Avianca ya dispone de seis naves A321NEO y 130 aviones Airbus de diferentes modelos, convirtiéndose en uno de los principales operadores de este fabricante en el mundo.

The airline reported that during 2018 will incorporate three more ships with NEO technology. The second will arrive at the end of May, the next in June and the last in October.
