Solvay y Boeing firman un acuerdo a largo plazo
Solvay S.A. ha sido galardonado con un nuevo acuerdo empresarial a largo plazo por The Boeing Company. La compañía de capitales belga Solvay ofrece soluciones de materiales en todos los programas comerciales y de defensa de Boeing para aplicaciones que incluyen estructuras primarias y secundarias, interiores y superficies. Solvay suministra a Boeing una amplia cartera de materiales avanzados que incluyen termoestables y compuestos termoplásticos, adhesivos y películas de superficie de sus ubicaciones en los Estados Unidos, Europa y China.
“Estamos orgullosos de seguir apoyando los programas de Boeing con una amplia cartera de tecnologías compuestas y adhesivas críticas para promover la innovación en el diseño y la fabricación de aeronaves. Esta renovación de contrato refuerza la relación de más de 30 años de Solvay con Boeing”, dijo Carmelo Lo Faro, Presidente de la unidad de negocio de Materiales Compuestos de Solvay. “Este contrato permite a Boeing asegurar el suministro de material para todos nuestros programas estratégicos y aporta cierta certeza a un entorno volátil. Boeing aprecia la asociación a largo plazo, el buen rendimiento y la relación con el equipo de Solvay”, explicó Elizabeth Lund, Vicepresidenta y Gerente General de Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain. Solvay sigue confiando en el futuro de la industria aeroespacial y espera continuar su asociación a largo plazo con Boeing.

Solvay S.A. has been awarded a new long-term business agreement by The Boeing Company. Belgian-owned Solvay offers materials solutions across all Boeing commercial and defense programs for applications including primary and secondary structures, interiors and surfaces. Solvay supplies Boeing with a broad portfolio of advanced materials including thermosets and thermoplastic composites, adhesives and surface films from its locations in the United States, Europe and China.
“We are proud to continue to support Boeing programs with a broad portfolio of critical adhesive and composite technologies to promote innovation in aircraft design and manufacturing. This contract renewal reinforces Solvay’s 30-plus year relationship with Boeing”, said Carmelo Lo Faro, President of Solvay’s Composite Materials business unit. “This contract allows Boeing to secure material supply for all of our strategic programs and brings some certainty to a volatile environment. Boeing appreciates the long-term partnership, good performance and relationship with the Solvay team”, explained Elizabeth Lund, Vice President and General Manager of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain. Solvay remains confident in the future of the aerospace industry and looks forward to continuing its long-term partnership with Boeing.

De Belgische hoofdstad Solvay biedt materiaaloplossingen voor alle defensie- en commerciële programma’s van Boeing voor toepassingen, waaronder primaire en secundaire constructies, interieurs en oppervlakken. Solvay levert Boeing een breed portfolio van geavanceerde materialen, waaronder thermoharders en thermoplastische composieten, kleefstoffen en oppervlaktefilms vanuit zijn locaties in de Verenigde Staten, Europa en China.
