Iniciará operaciones segundo semestre 2022
Aerolínea de bajo costo JetSmart Airlines Perú recibe el Certificado de Operador Aéreo (AOC) estableciendo una nueva filial de JetSmart Group. La nueva aerolínea ha expresado en un comunicado que la Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) de Perú ha entregado el correspondiente Certificado AOC para iniciar operaciones aerocomerciales. La aerolínea dispondrá para sus conexiones domésticas en Perú de aeronaves Airbus A320NEO de última generación permitiendo acceder a tecnología más moderna para rutas con alta demanda turística y rutas competitivas.
La línea aérea de bajo costo JetSmart Perú Airlines, controlada por el fondo de inversión estadounidense Indigo Partners, anunció que recibió el certificado oficial para operar vuelos domésticos en Perú. La compañía dijo que tiene previsto iniciar operaciones dentro de Perú en el segundo trimestre de 2022. En una primera etapa volará a cuatro destinos nacionales Cusco, Piura, Trujillo y Arequipa, además de tres vuelos inter-regionales sin necesidad de pasar por Lima. “Hemos dado un paso importante para acercar a los peruanos la posibilidad de volar a distintos destinos a precios ultra bajos en una de las flotas más modernas de Sudamérica”, señaló Estuardo Ortiz, Director Ejecutivo de JetSmart Airlines Group.
JetSmart Chile Airlines arribaba a Perú en el 2017, con rutas internacionales desde Santiago de Chile hacia Lima, Arequipa y Trujillo.
La compañía fue fundada en el 2016 para realizar operaciones domésticas en Chile y Argentina y cubre unas sesenta rutas en toda Sudamérica, con servicios a Perú, Colombia, Uruguay y Brasil. La empresa está controlada por Indigo Partners, fondo fundado por el empresario William Franke y con inversiones en varias aerolíneas, entre ellas Wizz Air (Hungría), Volaris (México), Frontier Airlines (Estados Unidos) y Cebu Pacific Air (Asia).

Low-cost airline JetSmart Airlines Peru receives the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) establishing a new subsidiary of JetSmart Group. The new airline has expressed in a statement that the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) of Peru has delivered the corresponding AOC Certificate to start commercial air operations. The airline will have state-of-the-art Airbus A320NEO aircraft for its domestic connections in Peru, allowing access to more modern technology for routes with high tourist demand and competitive routes.
The low-cost airline JetSmart Peru Airlines, controlled by the US investment fund Indigo Partners, announced that it received the official certificate to operate domestic flights in Peru. The company said that it plans to start operations within Peru in the second quarter of 2022. In a first stage, it will fly to four national destinations Cusco, Piura, Trujillo and Arequipa, in addition to three inter-regional flights without the need to go through Lima. “We have taken an important step to bring Peruvians closer to the possibility of flying to different destinations at ultra-low prices in one of the most modern fleets in South America”, said Estuardo Ortiz, Executive Director of JetSmart Airlines Group.
JetSmart Chile Airlines arrived in Peru in 2017, with international routes from Santiago de Chile to Lima, Arequipa and Trujillo.
