Líbano llama a licitación para Terminal 2
La República del Líbano llamará próximamente a licitación internacional para construir una nueva terminal en el único aeropuerto internacional del país, el Aeropuerto Internacional Beirut/Rafic Hariri/BEY, anunció el Miércoles 08/06. Las remodelaciones aspiran a atraer turistas del mundo al Líbano. Se realizaron grandes obras en el aeropuerto después de la guerra civil de 1975-1990, y desde hace años trabaja a plena capacidad mientras se demoran los planes de ampliación.
El Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Trasporte, a cargo de Ali Hamie, dijo a la prensa que se prepara una subasta para construir una segunda terminal en el Aeropuerto Internacional Rafic Hariri a un costo proyectado de US$ 70 millones de Dólares. Dijo que la Terminal 2 recibirá a vuelos chárter y de aerolíneas de bajo costo, así como las que trasportan a peregrinos musulmanes. Ali Hamie dijo que el proyecto será realizado por el sector privado y creará cientos de empleos cuando Líbano se encuentra en medio de la crisis económica más grave de la historia moderna.
El aeropuerto tiene actualmente unos 8 millones de pasajeros por año. El plan es llegar a 20 millones en 2030, de acuerdo con el sitio web de la aerolínea nacional Middle East Airlines. El Primer Ministro interino Najib Mikati visitó el aeropuerto el Miércoles 08/06. El país se apresta a recibir grandes cantidades de viajeros en los próximos meses después de una caída en el tráfico aéreo debido a la pandemia de Coronavirus. El Ministro de Turismo, Walid Nassar, dijo que se espera entre 10.000 y 20.000 pasajeros por día, o un millón en los próximos tres meses. “Hay ocupación plena de aerolíneas y hoteles. Los expatriados libaneses y los extranjeros que aman el Líbano vendrán al Líbano y será un verano prometedor”, dijo Walid Nassar.

لبنان يطالب بمناقصة لبناء 2
أعلنت الجمهورية اللبنانية قريباً طرح مناقصة دولية لبناء صالة ركاب جديدة في المطار الدولي الوحيد في البلاد ، مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي / BEY ، حسبما أُعلن يوم الأربعاء 6/8. تطمح التجديدات إلى جذب السياح من العالم إلى لبنان. تم تنفيذ الأعمال الرئيسية في المطار بعد الحرب الأهلية 1975-1990 ، ويعمل بكامل طاقته منذ سنوات بينما تتأخر خطط التوسع.
قالت وزارة الأشغال العامة والنقل برئاسة علي هامي للصحافة إنه يجري التحضير لمزاد لبناء صالة ثانية في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي بتكلفة متوقعة 70 مليون دولار. وقال إن المبنى رقم 2 سيستقبل رحلات الطيران العارض وشركات الطيران منخفضة التكلفة ، وكذلك تلك التي تنقل الحجاج المسلمين. وقال علي هامي إن المشروع سينفذ من قبل القطاع الخاص وسيخلق مئات الوظائف في وقت يمر فيه لبنان بأخطر أزمة اقتصادية في التاريخ الحديث.
