Aer Lingus firma un acuerdo para dos Airbus A320NEO
Aer Lingus ha confirmado el Viernes 24/06 un acuerdo de arrendamiento por dos (2) nuevos Airbus A320NEO. El acuerdo de arrendamiento se llevó a cabo con CDB Aviation, una compañía de servicios de alquiler y venta de aeronaves con una cartera de 368 aviones y una base de clientes de 64 arrendatarios en 38 países y regiones. El registro EI-NSB, que realizó su primera luz en Febrero 2022 ha sido observado con la librea de Aer Lingus en el aeropuerto Leoš Janáček/OSR en Ostrava, República Chequia. Este avión es el primer A320NEO que se ve en los colores de la aerolínea irlandesa.
El nuevo A320NEO representa una reducción del 20% en el consumo de combustible lo que permitirá aumentar la eficiencia y alcanzar niveles óptimos de la huella de carbono. El nuevo A320NEO tiene una capacidad de 186 pasajeros frente a los A320CEO que poseen una configuración para 174 pasajeros.
Actualmente, la flota de aeronaves de la aerolínea irlandesa es de A320-200CEO (31), A320NEO (1), A321-200CEO (1), A321LR (7), A330-200 (3), A330-300 (10), todos del consorcio europeo Airbus Group.
Aer Lingus posee intenciones de adquirir su segunda unidad A320NEO con matrícula EI-NSA. Ambas aeronaves habían sido confirmadas para la aerolínea rusa Smartavia, pero debido a las sanciones impuestas de bloque occidental, las aeronaves han quedado en el backlog del constructor europeo a la espera de otra aerolínea interesada.
La CEO de Aer Lingus, Lynne Embleton, expresó el beneplácito de la introducción de la nueva aeronave de últiima generación: “Esta es una gran oportunidad para traer nuevos aviones de última generación a nuestra flota de corta distancia. La renovación de nuestra flota es una de las formas clave para que Aer Lingus cumpla con nuestros objetivos de sostenibilidad, que es una prioridad para nosotros en los próximos años. La nueva generación de aviones Airbus A320NEO es mucho más sostenible en términos de consumo de combustible y emisiones de CO2 y esto no solo es importante para Aer Lingus sino también para nuestros clientes. Del mismo modo, estos aviones más respetuosos con el medio ambiente incurren en tarifas de aterrizaje más bajas en algunos aeropuertos clave, por lo que el nuevo A320NEO’s nos ayudará a reducir los costos”.

La aerolínea irlandesa Aer Lingus también espera incorporar la última joya de la saga de los narrowbodies de Airbus, el A321XLR (eXtra Long Range), una versión mejorada en autonomía de la familia A320NEO.

Aer Lingus has confirmed on Friday 06/24 a lease agreement for two (2) new Airbus A320NEO. The lease agreement was entered into with CDB Aviation, an aircraft rental and sales services company with a portfolio of 368 aircraft and a customer base of 64 lessees in 38 countries and regions. The EI-NSB registry, which made its first light in February 2022, has been observed in Aer Lingus livery at Leoš Janáček/OSR airport in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This aircraft is the first A320NEO to be seen in the colors of the Irish airline.
The new A320NEO represents a 20% reduction in fuel consumption, which will increase efficiency and achieve optimal carbon footprint levels. The new A320NEO has a capacity of 186 passengers compared to the A320CEO that have a configuration for 174 passengers.
Currently, the Irish airline’s aircraft fleet is A320-200CEO (31), A320NEO (1), A321-200CEO (1), A321LR (7), A330-200 (3), A330-300 (10), all of the European consortium Airbus Group.
Aer Lingus intends to acquire its second A320NEO unit with registration EI-NSA. Both aircraft had been confirmed for the Russian airline Smartavia, but due to the sanctions imposed by the Western bloc, the aircraft have remained in the backlog of the European manufacturer waiting for another interested airline.
Aer Lingus CEO Lynne Embleton welcomed the introduction of the new next-generation aircraft: “This is a great opportunity to bring new next-generation aircraft to our short-haul fleet. The renewal of our fleet is a one of the key ways for Aer Lingus to meet our sustainability goals, which is a priority for us in the coming years The new generation of Airbus A320NEO aircraft is much more sustainable in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and this is not It’s not only important to Aer Lingus but also to our customers. Similarly, these more environmentally friendly aircraft incur lower landing fees at some key airports, so the new A320NEO’s will help us reduce costs”.

Irish airline Aer Lingus also hopes to incorporate the latest jewel in the Airbus narrowbodies saga, the A321XLR (eXtra Long Range), a range-enhanced version of the A320NEO family.
