 Evacuan Embraer 190 de Copa Airlines en Santa Clara de Cuba

Un Embraer 190 de Copa Airlines, matrícula HP-1561CMP, fue evacuado después de abortar el despegue en Santa Clara de Cuba por problemas en el motor izquierdo (GE CF34). Debido al problema, la cabina comenzó a llenarse de humo, lo que obligó una evacuación a través de los toboganes inflables.

El vuelo CM238 con 88 pasajeros y cinco tripulantes, programado para despegar a las 12:13L, sufrió un retraso de 7 horas y 30 minutos, despegando hacia la capital panameña a las 19:44L.

En un comunicado, Copa Airlines informó que estableció un nuevo vuelo para transportar a los pasajeros en el menor tiempo posible. Mientras tanto, la aerolínea puso a disposición un área del aeropuerto para que los pasajeros esperaran la salida del siguiente avión.

The CM238 flight with 88 passengers and five crew, scheduled to take off at 12: 13L, suffered a delay of 7 hours and 30 minutes, taking off towards the Panamanian capital at 19:44.
