La segunda generación de los Embraer EJet, con un 75 porciento de nuevos componentes respecto a la primera, será certificada a principios de 2018

El pasado mes de noviembre Embraer comenzó, en sus instalaciones de Eugenio Melo, los ensayos en tierra con la célula de ensayos estáticos, que es un híbrido entre un E190-E2, las alas, y E195-E2, el fuselaje; y más recientemente ha instalado en el banco de ensayos un E190-E2 para las pruebas de fatiga que comenzarán en la primera mitad de 2017 una vez se instalen todos los elementos de torsión y medición y se certifiquen para su uso. Con esta célula se simularán vuelos equivalentes a tres veces la vida operativa estimada del modelo.

Mientras, en el aire, los tres E190-E2 que se están empleando acumulan más de 300 horas de vuelo.
