Luego de 55 días de obras reabrió el Aeropuerto de Trelew

Este martes, con un vuelo regular de Aerolíneas Argentinas desde Buenos Aires a Trelew, volvió a recuperar su operatividad habitual el Aeropuerto “Almirante Zar” de Trelew, tras 55 días de cierre por remodelaciones.

Sin actos formales ni inauguración de las obras, la pista del Aeropuerto “Almirante Zar” volvió a tener actividad desde primera hora de la mañana de este martes cuando arribó el vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas que habitualmente aterriza pasadas las 7 de la mañana. La llegada del primer vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas se dio cerca de las 7.05, proveniente del Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery.

Según indica diario Jornada, las obras que llevó adelante el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, a través del Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (ORSNA) incluyen una nueva pista de aterrizaje, la ampliación de las calles de rodaje para recibir aviones de mayor porte, de la plataforma comercial y la instalación de un nuevo sistema de balizamiento – con tecnología de vanguardia – para garantizar la máxima seguridad en los vuelos. Este conjunto de obras implicaron una inversión de 183 millones de pesos y beneficiarán a los 255.000 pasajeros que utilizan el aeropuerto anualmente.

“Esta es una muestra más de nuestra apuesta a nueva infraestructura y nueva tecnología, fundamentales para ampliar la capacidad de nuestros aeropuertos. Queremos duplicar la cantidad de argentinos que vuelan y que el sector aerocomercial crezca”, expresó el ministro de Transporte, Guillermo Dietrich, según recordó diario Jornada.

Mientras que Patricio Di Stefano, presidente del ORSNA expuso “estas obras van a mejorar la seguridad en los vuelos y permitir la operación de aviones de mayor porte. Queremos que Chubut desarrolle todos sus recursos y potencial, y para eso la conectividad aérea resulta fundamental”.

La pista del aeropuerto de Trelew presentaba un estado de deterioro y envejecimiento importante y por eso se repavimentó en su totalidad. Con respecto a la plataforma comercial, se amplió en 27.800 m2 más, para que puedan operar aviones más grandes que trasladen mayor cantidad de pasajeros.

En el marco del Plan Aerocomercial para duplicar la cantidad de pasajeros de cabotaje, se autorizó a la empresa Alas del Sur para cubrir dos nuevas rutas que conectarán Trelew. Una ruta hará: Córdoba – Buenos Aires – Trelew – Puerto Madryn – San Carlos de Bariloche – Neuquén – El Calafate – Ushuaia y vuelta; y la otra tendrá las siguientes conexiones: Córdoba – Mendoza – Neuquén – Trelew – Comodoro Rivadavia – Río Gallegos – Río Grande y vuelta.

According to newspaper Jornada, the works carried out by the Ministry of Transport of the Nation, through the Regulatory Agency of the National System of Airports (ORSNA) include a new runway, the extension of the taxiways to receive aircraft of greater Commercial platform and the installation of a new beacon system – with state-of-the-art technology – to guarantee maximum flight safety. This set of works involved an investment of 183 million pesos and will benefit the 255,000 passengers who use the airport annually.

«This is another example of our commitment to new infrastructure and new technology, fundamental to expand the capacity of our airports. We want to double the number of Argentines who fly and the airline sector grow», said Transport Minister Guillermo Dietrich, according to daily Jornada.

While Patricio Di Stefano, president of ORSNA explained «these works will improve flight safety and enable the operation of larger aircraft. We want Chubut to develop all its resources and potential, and for that, air connectivity is fundamental».

The runway at Trelew Airport was in a state of deterioration and significant aging and therefore repaved in its entirety. With respect to the commercial platform, it was expanded in 27,800 m2 more, so that they can operate bigger airplanes that transfer greater amount of passengers.

More connections

Under the Aerocomercial Plan to double the number of cabotage passengers, Alas del Sur was authorized to cover two new routes that will connect Trelew.
