Nauru Airlines ha sido galardonada con un Permiso de Transporte Aéreo Extranjero (FACP) del Departamento de Transporte de los Estados Unidos (DOT). La FACP permite a Nauru Airlines participar en el transporte aéreo internacional de personas, propiedades y correo entre Nauru y Guam Int’l a través de Tarawa, Majuro y Pohnpei por un período de cinco años. Además, concede los derechos de charter de la línea aérea entre cualquier punto en Nauru y los Estados Unidos.

En su aplicación, Nauru Airlines anunció que ofrecerá un viaje de ida y vuelta 1x semanal entre Nauru y Guam a bordo de un avión B737-300 en una configuración mixta de negocios y economía, con una capacidad total anual de 5.000 pasajeros.

Nauru Airlines es propiedad en su totalidad del gobierno de Nauru, pero debido a cuestiones regulatorias su flota de cinco B733 está registrada y tiene su sede en Brisbane, Australia. Actualmente sirve a los destinos de las islas del Pacífico de Nauru, Honiara, Nadi, Tarawa, Majuro y Pohnpei, así como Brisbane Int’l.

Actualmente, Nauru Airlines estudia el modelo B737NextGen para reemplazar su antigua flota B737 Classic, que en la actualidad constituye cuatro B737-300 y un B737-300 (F). Con las opciones de arrendamiento / compra bajo consideración, dijo que el avión podría llegar a finales de 2018.

Nauru Airlines has been awarded a Foreign Air Carrier’s Permit (FACP) from the US Department of Transportation (DOT). The FACP allows Nauru Airlines to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of person, property and mail between Nauru and Guam Int’l via Tarawa, Majuro and Pohnpei for a period of five years. It additionally grants the airline charter rights between any points in Nauru and the United States.

In its application Nauru Airlines says it will offer a 1x weekly round trip between Nauru and Guam aboard a B737-300 aircraft in mixed business and economy configuration, with a total yearly capacity of 5000 passengers.

Nauru Airlines is wholly owned by the government of Nauru, but due to regulatory issues its fleet of five B733s is registered and based in Brisbane, Australia. It currently serves the Pacific Island destinations of Nauru, Honiara, Nadi, Tarawa, Majuro, and Pohnpei, as well as Brisbane Int’l.

Nauru Airlines was currently studying older model B737NextGen aircraft to replace its older B737 Classic fleet which, at present, constitutes four B737-300s and one B737-300(F). With lease/buy options under consideration, she said the aircraft could arrive by the end of 2018. A\W

El domingo vuelve a operar el aeropuerto de Chapelco, tras 45 días en obra

Los trabajos consistieron en la repavimentación de la pista, mejoras en las calles de rodaje y en la plataforma comercial, por lo cual el Aeropuerto de Chapelco está en condiciones de seguridad necesarias para recibir el domingo a las 11.55 el primer vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas, proveniente del aeroparque Jorge Newbery.

Las obras de reconstrucción de la pista en el Aeropuerto de Chapelco finalizaron luego de 45 días de trabajo y una inversión de 148 millones de pesos, por lo cual el Ministerio de Transporte anunció que el domingo la terminal retomará las operaciones aerocomerciales.

En forma complementaria, para mediados de julio quedará instalado un nuevo sistema de balizamiento con tecnología de vanguardia que va a permitir operar vuelos nocturnos y aumentar las frecuencias en el aeropuerto.

El conjunto de obras llevadas adelante por el Ministerio de la Nación a través del Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (Orsna) beneficiará a los 80.000 pasajeros que lo utilizan anualmente y potenciará el turismo en la zona sur del país.

“Esta es una muestra más de nuestra apuesta a nueva infraestructura y nueva tecnología, fundamentales para ampliar la capacidad de nuestros aeropuertos y para evitar cancelaciones ante condiciones climáticas adversas como sucedía habitualmente en Chapelco», afirmó el ministro de Transporte, Guillermo Dietrich.

El funcionario nacional reiteró que la intención de gobierno es «duplicar la cantidad de argentinos que vuelan y que el sector aerocomercial crezca, generando más trabajo de calidad y mejorando la conectividad dentro del país, para que haya más turismo, una industria estratégica para el crecimiento de la Argentina”.

Estos trabajos forman parte del Plan Aerocomercial del Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación que incluye la modernización de la infraestructura en 19 aeropuertos del país, la incorporación de nueva tecnología de navegación aérea, nuevo equipamiento para la operación logística y otras obras complementarias para mejorar la aviación civil.

En total, se invertirán 22.000 millones de pesos durante los próximos tres años para todo el sector aéreo.

Además, para la provincia de Neuquén el Ministerio de Transporte aprobó la solicitud de tres nuevas empresas que conectarán el aeropuerto de la ciudad capital con distintos destinos nacionales e internacionales.

In total, 22 billion pesos will be invested over the next three years for the entire air sector.

Embraer entrega 18 aviones comerciales en el 1Q2017

El punto culminante del trimestre fue el despliegue seguido por el primer vuelo de otro miembro de la familia E2, antes de lo previsto: el E195-E2, el avión más grande de la familia- y el avión más eficiente en el mercado de aviones de pasillo único.

El primer vuelo del Boeing 737-9 MAX de Boeing despegó a las 10:52 de la mañana del jueves, pilotado por el capitán Christine Walsh, capitán del equipo de pruebas de Boeing, y se dirigió hacia el norte por el lago Washington hacia cielos parcialmente nublados.

El avión, que salió de la fábrica de Boeing Renton el 7 de marzo, voló durante varias horas y luego aterrizó en Boeing Field para continuar las pruebas.

SAFRAN ha entregado su motor Nº100 LEAP-1A para A320NEO

Safran celebra hoy la entrega de la propulsión centésima LEAP-1A qué equipo A320NEO. Esta entrega es para Air India, primera compañía india para explotar LEAP-1A.

«LEAP-1A ofrece una reducción del 15% en el consumo de combustible y emisiones de CO2, una reducción del 50% de NOx (en comparación con los motores de la generación anterior a la LEAP), y cumple con los estándares más exigente en términos de ruido», dijo la compañía.

En 2017, el CFM planea producir del orden de 500 motores LEAP y tendrá que lograr una tasa de 2.000 motores al año 2020.

Este motor, diseñado para equipar a las nuevas generaciones de aviones de pasillo único para los fabricantes de aviones más grandes del mundo, está disponible en tres versiones: LEAP-1A para el A320neo, LEAP-1B para el Boeing 737 MAX y LEAP-1C para el COMAC C919.

Luego de 55 días de obras reabrió el Aeropuerto de Trelew

Este martes, con un vuelo regular de Aerolíneas Argentinas desde Buenos Aires a Trelew, volvió a recuperar su operatividad habitual el Aeropuerto “Almirante Zar” de Trelew, tras 55 días de cierre por remodelaciones.

Sin actos formales ni inauguración de las obras, la pista del Aeropuerto “Almirante Zar” volvió a tener actividad desde primera hora de la mañana de este martes cuando arribó el vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas que habitualmente aterriza pasadas las 7 de la mañana. La llegada del primer vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas se dio cerca de las 7.05, proveniente del Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery.

Según indica diario Jornada, las obras que llevó adelante el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, a través del Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (ORSNA) incluyen una nueva pista de aterrizaje, la ampliación de las calles de rodaje para recibir aviones de mayor porte, de la plataforma comercial y la instalación de un nuevo sistema de balizamiento – con tecnología de vanguardia – para garantizar la máxima seguridad en los vuelos. Este conjunto de obras implicaron una inversión de 183 millones de pesos y beneficiarán a los 255.000 pasajeros que utilizan el aeropuerto anualmente.

“Esta es una muestra más de nuestra apuesta a nueva infraestructura y nueva tecnología, fundamentales para ampliar la capacidad de nuestros aeropuertos. Queremos duplicar la cantidad de argentinos que vuelan y que el sector aerocomercial crezca”, expresó el ministro de Transporte, Guillermo Dietrich, según recordó diario Jornada.

Mientras que Patricio Di Stefano, presidente del ORSNA expuso “estas obras van a mejorar la seguridad en los vuelos y permitir la operación de aviones de mayor porte. Queremos que Chubut desarrolle todos sus recursos y potencial, y para eso la conectividad aérea resulta fundamental”.

La pista del aeropuerto de Trelew presentaba un estado de deterioro y envejecimiento importante y por eso se repavimentó en su totalidad. Con respecto a la plataforma comercial, se amplió en 27.800 m2 más, para que puedan operar aviones más grandes que trasladen mayor cantidad de pasajeros.

Más conexiones

En el marco del Plan Aerocomercial para duplicar la cantidad de pasajeros de cabotaje, se autorizó a la empresa Alas del Sur para cubrir dos nuevas rutas que conectarán Trelew. Una ruta hará: Córdoba – Buenos Aires – Trelew – Puerto Madryn – San Carlos de Bariloche – Neuquén – El Calafate – Ushuaia y vuelta; y la otra tendrá las siguientes conexiones: Córdoba – Mendoza – Neuquén – Trelew – Comodoro Rivadavia – Río Gallegos – Río Grande y vuelta.

La surcoreana KAI proveerá componentes a la aeronáutica brasileña Embraer

La surcoreana Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) proveerá componentes al fabricante aeronáutico brasileño Embraer a cambio de unos 280.000 millones de wones (unos 245 millones de dólares, 231 millones de euros).

KAI proveerá piezas para las alas de tres modelos de avión fabricados por Embraer de aquí a 2033, según se explica en la documentación remitida hoy por la empresa del país asiático al Servicio de Supervisión Financiera surcoreano.

Las tres aeronaves son el Embraer KC-390 de transporte militar y los aviones de pasajeros E190-E2 y E195-E2. En los últimos ejercicios el ente público aeroespacial surcoreano ha mejorado sus balances mediante la exportación de componentes o de aviones de entrenamiento militar. Desde 2014 las ganancias netas y operativas de KAI se han duplicado hasta los 111.070 y 314.960 millones de wones (97 y 275 millones de dólares), respectivamente.
